Lifestyle and Daily Shenanigans with a dash of Nerd Appreciation thrown in.
Willkommen!
Hello, there! I'm Mochizuki, a twenty-something year old Graphic & Web Design student located somewhere in America and welcome to Waiting for June a Lifestyle blog that occasionally gets a tad too personal, talks about cosmetics, and constantly the home for prattles about Bandcamp, nerd culture, and tea/coffee. To find out more about blog and the blogger, click here.
Thank you so much for visiting and reading Waiting for June! If you like what we do here and want to help support the addiction of the blogger, you should look into spoiling the blog and its creator with coffee and gifts by using the links below. Even if you don't, you're still pretty dope for visiting, reading, enjoying, et cetera.
Oh hey guys! It's been, what? Two weeks? Gaaah, I don't have any excuses aside from the fact that I haven't been home and I've been out with mates while therefor ignoring any of my responsibilities as a blogger...oops. Also, I'm kind of rushing to get all my official documents and my application out for college. Yess, I'm changing schools again. This time, I'm applying for a school nearby that I'm pretty familiar with. Anyway, that's a topic for next post (trust me...next one is going to be a fucking text doozy).
Today, I'll be posting the final part of The Swatches Archive. If you have no idea of what that is, either read the previous part on this or just keep on reading and you'll probably pick up on it incredibly quickly. However, I do suggest you read the other part as I'll be picking up where I left off without a shred of hesitation.
Without further ado and more unnecessary babbling, click past the jump to continue reading.
Before I jump into this, allow me to again state the following:
Any and all statements from this point forward are my opinions. I am not here to influence nor change another's opinions. I have mine and you have yours. What works for me may not work for you. That being said, if you disagree with my opinions, feel free to do so in the comments, but do so in a mature manner or I will not refrain from making you feel ignorant. In the same breath, I will not disrespect you. In this particular post for The Swatches Archives, none of these products are owned by me (yet!) nor have they been sponsored to me. I am also not under the influences of any of brands or companies touched on, so you are getting nothing but the raw, unadulterated, lullatoned opinion.
Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's start this.

Another one of my favourites from my visit to ULTA was yet another Cargo Cosmetics Eyeshadow Singles. These eyeshadow singles are described on the company's website as:
Cargo Eye Shadow singles are back with an exciting range of 12 shades including the latest trend shades for Spring all in our signature tin! This soft and velvety formula has a smooth feel and delivers a long-lasting even application. Blendable for added intensity. May also be wet used as an eye liner. Paraben-free.
I wish you guys could understand how much I absolutely bloody loved testing these out. The colours were so pigmented that even going in for a quick swipe provided not only a clear swatch, but excess shadow that was not fall out. You don't even understand how bloody fantastic that is to me. Not to mention that it has amazing lasting power, even after wiping my arm off and having all the other swatches wipe away, these shadows stayed there. It was so mind numbing (in a good way) to me. Out of all the selection I swatched Aegean, Flint, Babylon, and Toronto (they are the first four from the far right).
Aegean can be described as a turquoise shadow with a bit of shimmer to it. Flint can be described as a gunmetal (but the company says it's a grayish brown...it's gunmental against my skin.) coloured shadow with a bit of shimmer to it. Babylon can be desicribed as an cobalt blue coloured shadow with a bit of shimmer to it. Finally, Toronto can be described as a light yellow (golden pearl as the company refers to it as) coloured shadow with a bit of shimmer to it. Although there is a hint of shimmer to these shadows, they don't really show up as much as you would expect with a shadow that is so pigmented which is an added bonus for me. Nothing grinds my gears more than shadows with shimmers that are obnoxious and way too visible for everyday wear. Plus, the fall out is a bloody waste and utterly depressing. None of that here. I toootally want some of them. 16$ is definitely hefty for single shadows.
Swatches: All the swatches taken including some not mentioned or touched on in the posts. Butter London, Iman, Laura Geller, Complete Colours, and bareMinerals make an apparence.
Now, I initally had an I had every intention of talking about every swatch I took. However, you're not allowed to take pictures of products in ULTA (which I should have expected, but eh) and I was lucky to get the pictures I did get. So I refuse to review a swatch of a product that I can't show to you readers. However, I will say that Butter London's Liquid Lipstick (which is the swatch that looks the stickest and bit like gloss) and Iman's Luxury Moisturising Lip Stick (which is to the right of Butter London's swatch) are hands down my top favourites. Both are pigmented (although you can't properly see the Iman's swatch to the fullest), thick without being overbearingly so, and Butter London's Liquid Lipstick had an amazing consistency and lasting power where Iman's Luxury Moisturising Lip Stick was true to it's word by being moisturizing and also, really bold and opaque. Hands down, love love love these products and I will definitely be getting them so I can not only do a proper swatch and review post, but wear them like the sassy bitch I am.
bareMinerals' Marvelous Moxie Lipstick was one of my least favourite products swatched. It wasn't really opaque to me and the lasting power was very minimal, it was a bit saddening to me. This was swatched at top right going horizontal. Not a fan. It took two attempts to get that much of a swatch.
The lipstick to the far left was ck one colour's Pure Colour Lipstick while ck one colour's Eyeliner Marker is to the right of that while a swatch from one of the shadows found in the Powder Eyeshadow Quad to the right of the Eyeliner Marker. As I mentioned previously, the lipstick and the eyeliner marker were the saving graces for me in the ck one colour collection.
As for the extra swatches that I haven't explained, I don't remember them. Oops. If I remember them, I'll put them in another post.
With that said, I'm drawing this to a close. Mostly because I've felt that I lost my way through this most and also because I don't believe I fancy as many of these products I had initially thought so wasting my time talking about them any longer, seemed so pointless. I do rather fancy all the products I listed as a like in this second post.

Hello, there!
Welcome to Waiting for June. Waiting for June is a Lifestyle Blog that focuses predominantly on daily life shenanigans and nerd culture, but occasionally dabbles in health & beauty, food, and prattling about serious topics.
Waiting for June is the sixth iteration of the same blog with a different name and structure. The original iteration of this blog was started back in November of 2012 as a purely Beauty and Lifestyle blog under the name Monochromatics which later got abandoned and restarted under the name sumeoseo. With sumeoseo came more beauty and review based blog which quickly lost its appeal. From that point on, there were three name changes, multiple hiatuses, and two blog changes before coming to where we are now.
Throughout this journey, I've learned that this blog shouldn't be limited to what I feel fits in with what I read from other bloggers nor should I put myself in a position to compromise my integrity and the feeling of transparency that I feel should always be there. I've also learned that blogging is probably never going to be a huge source of income the way I always expected it to be. So when I finally returned back to blogging with a fresh blog and an equally fresh name, I decided to make this blog about anything that I wanted to and break the mold of trying to fit into the mold. I can only imagine where this experience is going to take me.

Hello, there!
Welcome to the little about me section of the blog. If it isn't obvious by now, I'm Mochizuki and I'm kind of pretty important here. Admittedly, Mochizuki is a nom de plume, but I digress. I'm currently somewhere in my twenty-somethings and doing that thing where I'm learning how to be a proper adult while balancing being a student and a worker. Speaking of school, I'm a Graphic Design major who's concentration is Web Design and I take my classes online. If I'm being honest here, I do everything online because of my apprehension towards too much social interaction.
I'm typically reading something, playing a video game, watching anime, or something otherwise nerdy because that's how I roll. I don't engage with people unless I'm positive there is something in common there simply because I don't want to make it weird for anyone involved. That said, the reason I originally created this blog, or rather, any of my blogging adventures, was so that I could engage with people wo share the same interests as me while simultaneously sharing my own things with people.
I'm not terribly good at about me's, so expect this to be updated sporadically in a lot of ways.

A clear and concise guide on how reviews are approached and written.
This blog touches on and is dedicated to a variety of topics including: daily life, cosmetics, my journey to being a healthier me, music, books, anime, et cetera; however, a large chunk of the content found here are some form of review be they miniature reviews or full blown, in-depth reviews. Because of this, this blog has decided to implement and share it's review policy.
Please note that this policy is liable to change at any point in time, so do constantly check back before sending inquiries to kurahge@outlook.com.
Depending on the workload and the type of product is received, at any given time, multiple products can be in queue to be reviewed.
Depending on the product, the amount of time for a review to be posted varies. Typically, the length of time is as follows: anything health or beauty releated will take between 5 days and 1 week, books take between 3 days and 5 days, music and movie reviews take between 1 to 2 days, and most other reviews are variant depending on the situation at hand.
Products are predominantly purchased with my own money. On the off chance that the product or prodcuts were provided to me, there is always a note at the top of post and as well as text within the post that acknowledges such. Despite being provided a product or not, the opinions are honest and valid.
As of April 14th, 2016, there has been a change in how reviews are formatted. If working with a product that has a list of ingredients (health, beauty, cosmetics, etcetera), there will be a graphic that lists the ingredients out of respect and transparency for the readers.
Photos for reviews, particularly health and beauty related, are unedited and provided in a clear manner to help show what results occurred (if any.)
If at any point, a review is rushed despite being informed of and knowing the review policy of this blog, I will drop the review and pay for the product accordingly. I am a college student and a full-time worker, blogging is a bit of side project no matter how much I wish it otherwise, so my time is a bit crammed. Basically, rushing will terminate any agreement we may have unless it's valid (meaning absolutely my fault.)
