Lifestyle and Daily Shenanigans with a dash of Nerd Appreciation thrown in.
Willkommen!
Hello, there! I'm Mochizuki, a twenty-something year old Graphic & Web Design student located somewhere in America and welcome to Waiting for June a Lifestyle blog that occasionally gets a tad too personal, talks about cosmetics, and constantly the home for prattles about Bandcamp, nerd culture, and tea/coffee. To find out more about blog and the blogger, click here.
Thank you so much for visiting and reading Waiting for June! If you like what we do here and want to help support the addiction of the blogger, you should look into spoiling the blog and its creator with coffee and gifts by using the links below. Even if you don't, you're still pretty dope for visiting, reading, enjoying, et cetera.
It's been about yet another week since my previous post. Dear goodness, I always feel like shit when I come back to posting after a week and all I have is a post about my life and something that I feel is too boring or absolutely irrelevant to what this blog is, but then again I seem to think tapping too deep into my personal life is always a mess and no one should genuinely be subjected to that.
Thankfully, this isn't one of those over the top depressing posts. It's one of those filler posts that has a lot of text and a couple pictures and also happens to include an introduction to a new category. (I know, aren't you tired of me adding categories to this blog?).
Oh and I spazz a lot in this post. So bear with me...or don't bother passing GO and collecting 200$. Kudos if you're a cool kid who got that reference.
Initially, I wasn't all about the Instagram hype and I was completely set on never ever using the app seeing as I thought it was a huge waste of time. Of course, and obviously, I ended up changing my mind about using the app and while I am obviously not like most others in the fact that I'm absolutely addicted to it, I do fancy it a lot more than I used to. That's not to say that I don't still find it a huge waste of time, because I do, but that could be said about 90% of the apps of my phone, so I suppose IG can get a bit of a leeway with that.
Personally, I don't ever use the app unless I feel like I look above average, above decent, or positively beautiful...or if I have some damn good food and/or drink. Sometimes, I take pictures on how shitty I look after taking out my contacts, but don't worry...those hideous things will be gone soon enough. Nevertheless, I must repress a gasp at the next statement. I've felt absolutely pretty in and out for the last two weeks. Pretty enough to post about six pictures of my face on IG...consistently.
Now this is a huge thing for me. Why? Because unless I'm showing off new contacts or a new wig, my actual face is not in a picture. So. This is terribly new for me. And it's because of this that I bring you my two weeks of IG. I've decided to join the bandwagon that most, if not all, beauty/fashion bloggers do with the whole posting the weekly/biweekly/monthly IG feed.
Personally, my favourite ones are this one, this one, and this one. For reasons. And if you care, tell your favourites, I'm always interested in what people have to say about my face. Mostly for the shock value, to be quite honest.
If you haven't already noticed, which would be rather sad considering, the blog has a new look! Seeing as it's February and it is the month of love and partying, Valentine's Day and Mardi gras respectively, I decided to go for something that was lighter than hat I initially wanted to go with. Since the last couple layouts had been of a lighter scheme...come to think of it, all the layouts for this blog have been schemed lighter, I wanted something darker. More greys, both dark and mid-toned, and blacks. Maybe some blood reds and dark, dark blues. It hit me that it was close to Valentine's Day and February was technically a month of love and acceptance (Black History Month anyone? Even if I personally find it annoying...though the same could be said about V-Day) so hey...a theme that incorporated some aspects of lighter themes would properly be a lot more beneficial in the end.
So pinks and dark reds became a thing and I absolutely love the wood background, so I had to use it. This layout took me a total of 3 days, not including any additions that came after it being put up or any additions that will occur. Shockingly, I like it. I think it's because the pink isn't too overwhelming and is more of a mid-toned pink and because I got use one of the dark reds I wanted to anyway. Plus, the background is fabulous. I should warn you that you'll be seeing it a lot in the future and you will deal. Also, the navigation is at the top this time instead of in the sidebar...which again, huge plus that shocked me senseless for a bit.
I still think that my all time favourite layout is between this one and this one. God, I love those layouts so hard.
Truth be told, I'm already planning out the design for next month's layout.
There's going to be a new section of the blog, or well, a better way to say this is that there will be an upgraded personal section to the blog. Since all my personal posts are more of posts that deal with me hanging out with friends or my mum, in general...menial things, I've decided to actually include a deeper personal section to this blog.
This idea kind of hit me a couple weeks back when I read Jeongie's The past, the future, insecurities and dreams post. It made me think that while I call this blog a personal blog, I haven't really gotten as personal as I wish to on here. I'm not hiding because most who know me, know that I have a mouth that can keep going and going. However, I am the type of person that doesn't really reveal things unless I trust the person completely or if I don't trust the person or people, when I'm asked. Which pretty much sucks for anyone who want to get to know me butmay be intimidated or worried about how or what they approach me with.
So I said why not have add a new section. And seeing as I'm a lametard, I decided to name it Dear Me. I would just like to say that right off the bat, I doubt they'll be written in letter format as often as the name makes it sound like. I will say that each post will touch on one or two topics at most per post seeing as I can get a little text happy and they'll obviously touch thee deeper workings of my mind. And I will admit now that I can get a bit...depressing and apathetic at times. For the most part, my default setting emotionally is apathetic or neutral or blank. So you'll see a lot of that in that section. Though I will forwarn you about that the post entails, so you'll have the option to skip it.
That being said. There's also gonna be a category for wishlist based posts. So yes.
Before I end this post. Can we talk about how excited I am for Justin Timberlake's new album? Cause...that's my baby. And I'm a huge 90's kid, so you know I gre up with him, N'SYNC, Britney, Christina, and all those lovely people. His solo albums are still my shit and "Cry Me A River" is still one the best songs ever...and you will deal. Anyway, Mr. Sexyback himself is coming back to snatch the wigs off all the fake ass "R&B" mainstreamers and I will be getting all the life I need from this album. So far, "Mirrors" and "Suit & Tie" are the main singles that have been released and while I dislike the beginning bit of "Suit & Tie", I'm loving that classic JT vibe I'm getting and been missing. Same with "Mirrors". I fucking live.
I'm hoping that I love the full album and while I doubt that I'll be disappointed with it, seeing as it's that normal JT/Timbo collaboration, there is still some worry. I mean look at Drake and Nicki Minaj.
Speaking of those two. Sigh. Nicki Minaj. While I love her older stuff...I'm tired of her new shit. I'm tired of her sounding like every other stereotypical radio bullshit and people kissing her ass and hyping her up. That Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up did nothing much for me and that's saying something. Cause I go hard for Nicki sometimes, but right now...I'm not feeling it or that attitude of hers. Bring it all the way back down, honey bunches. Nevertheless, "The Boys" and "Freedom" are my shit and "I Endorse These Strippers" is some good ratchet fun. So I guess there's a light...however dim it may be.
Now, Drake. Drake.Aubrey. Sis. Don't do that ever again. Him and that "Started From The Bottom" video/song need to be casted away like Chuck Noland (kudos again to anyone who get that reference). I'm not here for it. I'm sure a lot of people aren't here for it. And he shouldn't be here for it. Congrats on the Grammy though, he deserved that shit. Despite being slighty bitch-made, he humors me and Take Care was a good ass album I will not take that from him. But. Seriously. I request to not be given this fuckery again. I don't have time for it. Him and Nicki (or Roman or whoever she is today) need to stop. Cause I love them both.
...I'd still hit 'em though. If I was into that kind of thing. And the beat for "Started From The Bottom" is sick as shit. Watch me catch myself singing this song in a week or so. The most annoying songs get caught in my head all the time.
You can listen to "Mirrors" here, "Suit & Tie" here, and watch the fuckery that is Aubrey trying to do something that he probably thinks is dancing but is actually a lie in "Started From The Bottom" here.
And on an ending note, I love Rihanna's "Stay" and it's not because of her. Mikky Ekko's voice in this song (and in general) is everything I wanted in life and he does not fail me in this song. Bless him.

Hello, there!
Welcome to Waiting for June. Waiting for June is a Lifestyle Blog that focuses predominantly on daily life shenanigans and nerd culture, but occasionally dabbles in health & beauty, food, and prattling about serious topics.
Waiting for June is the sixth iteration of the same blog with a different name and structure. The original iteration of this blog was started back in November of 2012 as a purely Beauty and Lifestyle blog under the name Monochromatics which later got abandoned and restarted under the name sumeoseo. With sumeoseo came more beauty and review based blog which quickly lost its appeal. From that point on, there were three name changes, multiple hiatuses, and two blog changes before coming to where we are now.
Throughout this journey, I've learned that this blog shouldn't be limited to what I feel fits in with what I read from other bloggers nor should I put myself in a position to compromise my integrity and the feeling of transparency that I feel should always be there. I've also learned that blogging is probably never going to be a huge source of income the way I always expected it to be. So when I finally returned back to blogging with a fresh blog and an equally fresh name, I decided to make this blog about anything that I wanted to and break the mold of trying to fit into the mold. I can only imagine where this experience is going to take me.

Hello, there!
Welcome to the little about me section of the blog. If it isn't obvious by now, I'm Mochizuki and I'm kind of pretty important here. Admittedly, Mochizuki is a nom de plume, but I digress. I'm currently somewhere in my twenty-somethings and doing that thing where I'm learning how to be a proper adult while balancing being a student and a worker. Speaking of school, I'm a Graphic Design major who's concentration is Web Design and I take my classes online. If I'm being honest here, I do everything online because of my apprehension towards too much social interaction.
I'm typically reading something, playing a video game, watching anime, or something otherwise nerdy because that's how I roll. I don't engage with people unless I'm positive there is something in common there simply because I don't want to make it weird for anyone involved. That said, the reason I originally created this blog, or rather, any of my blogging adventures, was so that I could engage with people wo share the same interests as me while simultaneously sharing my own things with people.
I'm not terribly good at about me's, so expect this to be updated sporadically in a lot of ways.
The little spots on the internet that I read to pass time.

A clear and concise guide on how reviews are approached and written.
This blog touches on and is dedicated to a variety of topics including: daily life, cosmetics, my journey to being a healthier me, music, books, anime, et cetera; however, a large chunk of the content found here are some form of review be they miniature reviews or full blown, in-depth reviews. Because of this, this blog has decided to implement and share it's review policy.
Please note that this policy is liable to change at any point in time, so do constantly check back before sending inquiries to kurahge@outlook.com.
Depending on the workload and the type of product is received, at any given time, multiple products can be in queue to be reviewed.
Depending on the product, the amount of time for a review to be posted varies. Typically, the length of time is as follows: anything health or beauty releated will take between 5 days and 1 week, books take between 3 days and 5 days, music and movie reviews take between 1 to 2 days, and most other reviews are variant depending on the situation at hand.
Products are predominantly purchased with my own money. On the off chance that the product or prodcuts were provided to me, there is always a note at the top of post and as well as text within the post that acknowledges such. Despite being provided a product or not, the opinions are honest and valid.
As of April 14th, 2016, there has been a change in how reviews are formatted. If working with a product that has a list of ingredients (health, beauty, cosmetics, etcetera), there will be a graphic that lists the ingredients out of respect and transparency for the readers.
Photos for reviews, particularly health and beauty related, are unedited and provided in a clear manner to help show what results occurred (if any.)
If at any point, a review is rushed despite being informed of and knowing the review policy of this blog, I will drop the review and pay for the product accordingly. I am a college student and a full-time worker, blogging is a bit of side project no matter how much I wish it otherwise, so my time is a bit crammed. Basically, rushing will terminate any agreement we may have unless it's valid (meaning absolutely my fault.)
