Unemployed? Dance. Foreclosed? Dance. Uninsured? Dance. Climate change? Dance. Depressed? Depressed? The decline of western civilization. — Dance Miserable.
Oh, excuse that quote. Obviously, it has nothing to do with this post, but this is my jam. Just dance you're disappointed in the world~♪. I recommend you guys get into that Patrick Stump Soul Punk bidnaz if you haven't already. You won't regret it.
So it's been a while since I posted a Gameventure post. It's not because I've stopped playing Vindictus cause I haven't. It's not because there's no motivation cause there's a lot to talk abut. It's because of the length the next post for the Vindictus Gameventure is going to be really text heavy and a bit video heavy. So while I type that up, I've decided to jump into a couple other games.
These games being SEVENCORE and TERA: Rising. Today, we'll be talking about SEVENCORE because talking about TERA is just going to make me annoyed and I would rather not be annoyed right now. And before we jump into this review, I must go through the typical review rules.
First. This review and post are opinions of my own and I am not being influenced by any of the creators or a higher up. These words, these views, everything is mine and mine only. That being said, you are welcome to take my opinion in whatever manner you so wish to. Second. This really shouldn't be something I have to say, but this post does contain profanity (as do all my posts). If you aren't comfortable with profane language, then I'd advise you not to read this post. Third. This post is obviously gong to be mostly text as it is a review. If text heavy isn't something you want, skip this post. Finally. This is not a complete review. Hence it being called A Review Before The Actual Review. It will be as short as I feel like making it and it will not touch all the aspects of the game. This will deal with the basics and my initial feelings towards the game.
SEVENCORE is describe as:
SEVENCORE is a brand new riding action MMORPG developed by NORIA and published by TEC Interactive and IAH Games where technology meets fantasy in an unique post-apocalyptic universe, featuring a rich companion system with pets that you can ride and fight with, compelling storyline, PvE and PvP combat, enhanced mounted air combat, dungeons, bosses, raids, crafting, quests and much more.
The distinctive fusion-fantasy art style comined with the latest develpments in MMORPG world set the game apart from every other online game. And best of all, SEVENCORE is and will remain completely free to play.¹
The game was originally a closed beta and was recently released as an open beta. I'm not aware of how long it's been since SEVENCORE has become an open beta, but it must be recent seeing as I haven't been hearing about it for too long. (EDIT: SEVENCORE has been an open beta since September 6th.²) Personally, I was truly intrigued by the game when I saw the gameplay video (posted below) and how beautiful the artwork was for the game.
SEVENCORE GAME TRAILER #2
Let me just say right now that. Yes, the game is beautiful...but the my first impression of the gameplay is not anything good. So let's breakdown this review into the five major parts of gaming for me which are: Story, Character Creation, Music/Soundtrack, Visuals, and Gameplay/Controls. This should technically be everyone's major parts to gaming really, especially when it comes to MMOs, but everyone is a tad different.
Nevertheless, let's breakdown these sections.
Story: Seeing as I've only been playing for about a day, not much of the story has been revealed. This game isn't like other games in the manner that the storyline is briefly explained before you play the game. Rather, this game reveals the storyline as you play and complete quests. Personally, that's not something I prefer. I prefer knowing what I'm getting myself into...even if my knowledge of the story is vague. I'd still prefer knowing. But this is strictly something I prefer. However, I hope that I'll eventually reveal more of the story and grow to enjoy playing it through th storyline...but we'll just have to see.
Music/Soundtrack: As far as I've heard, SEVENCORE doesn't have much of a soundtrack. I've only heard one song in completion through the game and that was during the front/log-in screen and during the character creation area. This is another let down for me. Although, I will say that it's not a big deal to me because I do play my own music while playing games. Still, I do rather enjoy a good game soundtrack. The lack of music kind of drags down the greatness this game could be.
Character Creation: Now, this is one of the bigger aspects of gaming for me. Although, I can excuse some aspects being missing from a character's creation, I do fancy a good bit of options.
Let's start out with the races. Both races have both male and female counterparts which is a huge plus in comparison to a lot of games that limit what gender a race of characters can be. We have the Sions, the Nuuk, the Einher (the male Einher remind me greatly of the Karok in Vindictus), and the Aimon (which remind me greatly of the Elin in TERA Online).
As for classes, we have: Warrior, Gunner, Magician, and Assassin. I admit that I'm a bit put off that there isn't an archer class...but that's my bias showing. I love archer classes in games, so I'm always a bit sad when there isn't one. Nevertheless, I ended up choosing Assassin...for reasons. I appreciate that those who are of the class of Assassin use daggers and claws. Favourite weapons ever. I have a slightly unhealthy obsessive love for daggers.
Now, here's the really important part of character creations for me...character customizations. I'm huge on how much I want my characters to look the ideals of how I picture them in my mind. However, I can excuse a few things if need be. For example, while I would prefer changing the colours of my character's eyes, if I can see that the overall work put into all the designs of the game are great...I'll excuse it. That's what happened in this case.
My huge thing about SEVENCORE's character customization that sends me for a loop, as I was telling otto and our good friend Poonie, is that there is a healthy amount of selection while being so little. It's weird to explain, but basically, there are a good amount of selections there (about 12 hairstyles, 6 preview of outfits on your character, 4-5 face settings, and a good bit of colors) but when it comes to their selection of colours...there is little to no use of primary colours. Meaning there isn't exactly a red, yellow, green, or blues in the way we see them. There are variants of each (save for green) like cyan or a pink-ish red, a wheat-ish yellow, and such. There's absolutely no black, but there is white. Which is mind boggling to me seeing as there is such a selection of colours. This is strictly for hair colouring though. The skin tones palette is typical skin tone palette for games like this.
Another thing about the hair colour that is really weird is the fact that the colours are more saturated than they are vibrant. It's weird to describe and I hadn't bothered to grab a cap of what I mean. But a good example of what I mean is by comparing it TERA. In this picture, you can see how vibrant the colouring of the hair is...especially up close. In SEVENCORE, it's not like that. Okay, let me clarify why vibrancy > saturation in a game. When colours are vibrant in a game, they are as we would see them in person and no matter the quality they are in, they are still relatively clear and remain that same distinct colour. When colours are saturated in a game, the higher you have your graphics quality set to, the more they lose the vibrancy that they should have. At the highest setting, the colours can seem mudding and blended together awfully. That's how it is in this game. It's not appealing in the slightest to me.
That being said, the altercations you can make to your character's person otherwise is pretty decent. I like it and it kind of distracts me away from the confusion with the colours.
Overall Visuals: As I said, I've only been playing for a day or so and thus, I an't really form a good open on how I feel towards the visuals. It's hit and miss, overall...but maybe that'll change.
Gameplay/Game Controls: This category is the biggest of all the categories for me. I could go on and on about why I truly don't like controls in this game, but I pretty much summarized it last night on Skype.
[03:38:41] → ` {nothingness;: These controls are not fun. [03:45:22] → ` {nothingness;: It is WASD controls. [03:45:26] → ` {nothingness;: But really bad. [03:46:00] → ` {nothingness;: Like. You know with Vindi, your character runs/walks in the direction of the camera unless it's on auto run? [03:46:17] → ` {nothingness;: This is more like, the camera moves with you. [03:46:30] → ` {nothingness;: So you're just focused on using the keyboard mostly. [03:46:53] → ` {nothingness;: However, you can use the mouse to run my left clicking in the direction you wanna go in [03:48:49] → ` {nothingness;: Also the movements are really stiff. [03:50:57] → ` {nothingness;: Definitely. But, yeah. Really stiff. And uhm, you kind of have to take your time going in direction. If you press down on the keys too much, you'll run past your goal and if you press down too little, it's even more stiff.
I decided to cut out the bits of conversation in which Poonie responded out of respect for privacy. Seriously though, the controls are horrible in my opinion and I will probalby not change my view on that at all.
Overall, SEVENCORE is looking decent at most to me right now, but we'll see if I continue playing it and the opinion I have on it changes.

Hello, there!
Welcome to Waiting for June. Waiting for June is a Lifestyle Blog that focuses predominantly on daily life shenanigans and nerd culture, but occasionally dabbles in health & beauty, food, and prattling about serious topics.
Waiting for June is the sixth iteration of the same blog with a different name and structure. The original iteration of this blog was started back in November of 2012 as a purely Beauty and Lifestyle blog under the name Monochromatics which later got abandoned and restarted under the name sumeoseo. With sumeoseo came more beauty and review based blog which quickly lost its appeal. From that point on, there were three name changes, multiple hiatuses, and two blog changes before coming to where we are now.
Throughout this journey, I've learned that this blog shouldn't be limited to what I feel fits in with what I read from other bloggers nor should I put myself in a position to compromise my integrity and the feeling of transparency that I feel should always be there. I've also learned that blogging is probably never going to be a huge source of income the way I always expected it to be. So when I finally returned back to blogging with a fresh blog and an equally fresh name, I decided to make this blog about anything that I wanted to and break the mold of trying to fit into the mold. I can only imagine where this experience is going to take me.

Hello, there!
Welcome to the little about me section of the blog. If it isn't obvious by now, I'm Mochizuki and I'm kind of pretty important here. Admittedly, Mochizuki is a nom de plume, but I digress. I'm currently somewhere in my twenty-somethings and doing that thing where I'm learning how to be a proper adult while balancing being a student and a worker. Speaking of school, I'm a Graphic Design major who's concentration is Web Design and I take my classes online. If I'm being honest here, I do everything online because of my apprehension towards too much social interaction.
I'm typically reading something, playing a video game, watching anime, or something otherwise nerdy because that's how I roll. I don't engage with people unless I'm positive there is something in common there simply because I don't want to make it weird for anyone involved. That said, the reason I originally created this blog, or rather, any of my blogging adventures, was so that I could engage with people wo share the same interests as me while simultaneously sharing my own things with people.
I'm not terribly good at about me's, so expect this to be updated sporadically in a lot of ways.
The little spots on the internet that I read to pass time.

A clear and concise guide on how reviews are approached and written.
This blog touches on and is dedicated to a variety of topics including: daily life, cosmetics, my journey to being a healthier me, music, books, anime, et cetera; however, a large chunk of the content found here are some form of review be they miniature reviews or full blown, in-depth reviews. Because of this, this blog has decided to implement and share it's review policy.
Please note that this policy is liable to change at any point in time, so do constantly check back before sending inquiries to kurahge@outlook.com.
Depending on the workload and the type of product is received, at any given time, multiple products can be in queue to be reviewed.
Depending on the product, the amount of time for a review to be posted varies. Typically, the length of time is as follows: anything health or beauty releated will take between 5 days and 1 week, books take between 3 days and 5 days, music and movie reviews take between 1 to 2 days, and most other reviews are variant depending on the situation at hand.
Products are predominantly purchased with my own money. On the off chance that the product or prodcuts were provided to me, there is always a note at the top of post and as well as text within the post that acknowledges such. Despite being provided a product or not, the opinions are honest and valid.
As of April 14th, 2016, there has been a change in how reviews are formatted. If working with a product that has a list of ingredients (health, beauty, cosmetics, etcetera), there will be a graphic that lists the ingredients out of respect and transparency for the readers.
Photos for reviews, particularly health and beauty related, are unedited and provided in a clear manner to help show what results occurred (if any.)
If at any point, a review is rushed despite being informed of and knowing the review policy of this blog, I will drop the review and pay for the product accordingly. I am a college student and a full-time worker, blogging is a bit of side project no matter how much I wish it otherwise, so my time is a bit crammed. Basically, rushing will terminate any agreement we may have unless it's valid (meaning absolutely my fault.)
