Selfie: Wearing EOS Max Candy Doll Blue lenses purchased from Kiwiberry.

It's been a while since I've done a proper review of something beauty related and I've constantly promised and stated that I would get around to properly doing reviews for the contacts I received from Kiwiberry over the 2012 holidays and thus, I'll be posting two reviews back-to-back.

The contacts that will be reviewed in this post is pictured above, the EOS Max Candy Doll Blue lenses while the pair of lenses that will be reviewed next post are the EOS Adult Red lenses. So let's get this party started, yes?

So to start off this review, I wanted to apologize for the fact that I forgot to take pictures of the EOS Max Candy Doll Blue lenses in their cases nor can I find the picture of the lenses' bottles, which is completely my fault, so for the time being we're just going to pretend that it's here and that it's a thing and I'll eventually  come back to add in the pictures.

Also, there is a new way I'll be posting my reviews. It's not that much different from before, but I'll still explain how it'll go from now on.
The reviews will focus on the most important features to me when it comes to lenses and those features are: Comfort, Opacity, Design. And yes, in that order. The rating of the lenses rely solely on how well the lenses are in regards to those categories. Normally, I'll review in a backwards order from least important factor to most important. This means that design will come first, followed by opacity, and then ending with comfort.

[EDIT (21.03.2013 @ 23:12): I don't include enlargement in my review criteria because it isn't important to me, I normally go for lenses closer to my eyes' natural size. 14mm-14.8mm and no more than that. Price isn't also included because how much I spend on the stuff I purchase is no one's concerns but mine and those I share the amount with. Also, I'll start including a summary of the lenses to make things easier for those who prefer it.]

Contacts View: A view of the lenses in when I'm looking directly ahead, up, directly ahead again, and right. Looking left wasn't included due to pictures looking utter crap.
Name: EOS WM-202 Max Candy Doll Blue
Diameter: 14.8mm.
Colour: A darker turquoise colour.
Base Curve: 8.8
Water: 38%
PLANO Only?: Yes.
The picture above is an edited version of what the contacts look like. If you wish to view the contacts without the editing, click here. Although, I should say that they don't look all that much different in the unedited picture...maybe a little less muddy and much clearer, but not an intense different. Unfortunately, any attempt to capture a picture of me in the contacts looking to the left was met with failure and frankly I don't quite understand why.

So let's start with the design. Out of all the major categories, design is the least important to me, however, a fabulous design is always welcomed. The design is decent overall. It reminds me a bit of my first pair of lenses, the Vassen Super Nudy lenses. While it's not a huge thing to me, the design doesn't make me like it any more or less than I do, but it would have been nice to see something a little different. That being said, the lenses are still aesthetically pleasing design-wise.

Now, let's talk about the opacity level of these contacts. Opacity is one of the most important things to me when it comes to lenses. It comes right after comfort and is almost impossibly close to being ahead of comfort. When I go to buy lenses, I always try to pick lenses that will show a level of opacity that I need and expect for it and with these lenses. I won't lie, I didn't have as high of hopes as I should have when it came to these lenses so you can imagine how surprised and completely ecstatic I was to see how opaque these lenses were. Even without the editing I do with my pictures for this blog, like in this Instagram picture, the lenses are extremely opaque. And before you even begin to wonder, yes...I get my fucking life from these lenses' opacity. I fucking live.

Finally, the comfort level. Like typical lenses, these lenses take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes to settle and feel 100% comfortable in unless you've put them on the wrong. These contacts stay pretty comfortable for a long time. Now, I say this because my eyes are naturally extremely watery, so I can go about 7-8 hours without the lenses drying out my eyes and becoming uncomfortable unless I start to get tired somewhere in between. For people whose eyes are not as watery as mine tend to be, I wouldn't recommend wearing these lenses for more than 6 hours without a bottle of eye drops on standby. As for the hours before it dries out, the comfort level is insanely perfect. You barely notice the lenses are there at all and I sometimes find myself asking my friends every now and then if the lenses are still in and in place just to make sure. It's wonderful, really. Once those hours are up though and the lenses dry out, if there aren't any eye drops nearby, the lenses are pretty much far too unbearable to keep them in much longer.

Overall, these contacts have a decent design (nothing to brag about), any absolutely amazing and impressive level of opacity, and an overall fantastic level and time of comfort.
