Selfie: Wearing EOS New Adult Red lenses purchased from Kiwiberry.

Here's the second review in my series of reviews based around the circle lenses I purchased from Kiwiberry. If you missed the previous post, I started out this series of review with a review of EOS Max Candy Doll Blue lenses which you can read up on by clicking here. In this review, we'll be reviewing another pair of EOS lenses, the EOS Adult Red lenses.

I won't bore you any longer with this introduction and just jump right into this review. Don't forget to keep in mind that all reviews are mostly 90% text and 10% images.

Before we begin this review, I'll post the new formatting of reviews for those who don't care t go back to read the previous post with it in it or those who have shit memory (ain't gonna lie...'m one of them).
The reviews will focus on the most important features to me when it comes to lenses and those features are: Comfort, Opacity, Design. And yes, in that order. The rating of the lenses rely solely on how well the lenses are in regards to those categories. Normally, I'll review in a backwards order from least important factor to most important. This means that design will come first, followed by opacity, and then ending with comfort.

I don't include enlargement in my review criteria because it isn't important to me, I normally go for lenses closer to my eyes' natural size. 14mm-14.8mm and no more than that. Price isn't also included because how much I spend on the stuff I purchase is no one's concerns but mine and those I share the amount with.

Contacts View: The lenses in their original vials and soaking in solution.
Name: EOS J-203 New Adult Red
Diameter: 14.0mm.
Colour: A dark red or a slightly lighter dark red depending on the light.
Base Curve: 8.6
Water: 38%
PLANO Only?: Depends on where you order from. PLANO only when purchasing from Kiwiberry (but I know Pinky Paradise offers prescription).

Contacts View: A view of the lenses in when I'm looking directly ahead, left, up, and right.
The picture above is an edited version of what the contacts look like. If you wish to view the contacts without the editing, click here. I would say that the colour in the unedited version is far lighter than the colour in the edited version, so I'd definitely recommend to look at both images to compare.

So design-wise. Design-wise, again, these lenses remind me of the Vassen Barbie Eye Super Nudy Grey lenses. In actuality, these Adult Red lenses are a lot closer in design to the Super Nudy lenses than the Candy Doll Blue lenses are. I will say that the design is actually really faded in these lenses and it gives it a weird, almost mysterious kind of look to the design. Or you know, maybe that's just how I feel. Again, while design is important to me, it's not too important. I will say though, the design itself is completely underwhelming. It's too faded, despite the mysterious-type aura it gives, and it just doesn't do much for me. It just is, I suppose.

So what these lenses lack in design, they make up in opacity. These lenses are really something. Depending on how light or dark of a colour your natural eyes, these lenses will show up with an intense level of opacity or they won't. What I mean is this, with my eyes being such an intense dark brown (borderline black at times), these lenses show up completely opaque on my eyes. They show off a dark red colour as opposed to the almost completely transparent red you see when it's in its original vial and in solution. However, if your eyes are a lighter shade, it tends to come off more transparent than it does opaque. This may not always be the case, but based on hat I've seen, it is. Now, the reason I say the opacity makes up for the design is because I personally find the difference is how the opacity can be leveled absolutely stunning. It's not perfect, but I love that it's slightly confusing and as someone who enjoy the idea of discovering things that confuse them, this is a challenge to me and thus, so much better than other lenses I've had. Again, I'm reminded of the Vassen Barbie Eye Super Nudy Greys when it comes to the opacity of these lenses. That makes me extremely happy.

Finally, comfort. Now, as we know with all quality lenses, lenses take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes to settle and feel 100% comfortable in unless you've put them on the wrong. Same goes with these. When putting in these lenses, after a couple blinks to adjust, the lenses seem like they aren't there and are more than 100% comfortable which is great. The quicker lenses are comfortable to me, the better it is for me. However, with one major upbringing, there's always a huge downfall and with these lenses, the downfall is the length of comfort. For me these lenses dry out far too quickly. I would say after 3 or 4 hours, these lenses dry out and become uncomfortable. And when I say uncomfortable, I mean it feels like something is stabbing me in the eye and once they dry out, I have to take them out immediately or my eyes will redden and start to tear up, none too good. There are some days where I can go all the way to 6, maybe 7, hours, but it's not as often as I'd like and that truly depresses me.

Overall, while the opacity of the lenses give me life while simultaneously confusing me, the underwhelming design and iffy length of comfort sadden me greatly and easily force these lenses down to a spot lower on my top 6 lenses list.
