Lifestyle and Daily Shenanigans with a dash of Nerd Appreciation thrown in.
Willkommen!
Hello, there! I'm Mochizuki, a twenty-something year old Graphic & Web Design student located somewhere in America and welcome to Waiting for June a Lifestyle blog that occasionally gets a tad too personal, talks about cosmetics, and constantly the home for prattles about Bandcamp, nerd culture, and tea/coffee. Even if you don't, you're still pretty dope for visiting, reading, enjoying, et cetera.
Hello, lovies. It's been a very intense week, but I shan't talk about that here for it's no longer important. I don't have much to say about today's post aside from the fact that there aren't as many Embarrassments in this one. I just couldn't bloody think of any. So I only listed three. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy it.
Also before we jump into this post, I just want to let you all know that I'll be changing the layout for the blog soon, so if things start breaking and what not around here, just know that it's because everything is being fixed up and/or altered. One more thing. For the month of September, I'll be taking part in Blogtember which is hosted and created by Jenni of Story of My Life. Now, let's jump into this. Yes?
I | I have a terrible, terrible crush on a Tom Hiddleston and MIKA. I must admit this wholeheartedly and as openly as I can. I have a major crush on both Tom Hiddleston and MIKA. There's no shame in it for me, but it is rather embarrassing vocalising it considering I'm absolute shite when it comes to being open about my crushes, likes, dislikes, loves, and hates.
Now allow me to explain what I mean by crush. While, I'm sure they are amazing partners and I'm sure that if I had partners like them I'd be set, that's not necessarily the type of crush I mean. What I mean by crush is that I wanted to sit with them over cuppa and have a chat. I want to sit with them and pick apart their mind, find what's deep in there and drown in the perfection of it all. I want to understand their nervous habits and ticks and find out why these nervous habits and ticks are a thing. I want to chat about the world, books, love, happiness, movies, and just life in general. The type of crush I have isn't the type that people normally think of. It's not an infatuation because infatuations for me are much more fleeting. They're more comparable to the feeling I had when I started teaching myself about Psychology.
But it's embarrassing, I suppose, because when I say crush people have a tendency to think I've "deluded" myself into thinking that I'll end up with either of these celebrities (or any of the celebrities I have a crushes on), but it's not like that. I've not deluded myself whatsoever nor do I expect to end up happily with them. The sentiment behind that idea is lovely, but it's far something I can bring myself to care about. In fact, I don't believe in happily-ever-afters nor do I expect one for myself. I also don't particularly care for relationships whatsoever and it's even worse if there is no emotional or mental connection there. So..yeah, no delusion here. Just want to appreciate the beauty of intelligent men.
It does help that they're terribly gorgeous men who happen to fall into my type of ideal partners. (Hello, lanky men. Y'all are gorgeous. Let's cuddle and you can use me as a teddy bear or pillow. Haaaaaaha. No, seriously though.)
On a side note, before anyone lumps me in with the Hiddlestoners let me say two things. One, I don't claim the Hiddlestoner title because I don't claim any fandom titles and that's my own personal thing. I tried and it was not something I enjoyed. Two, I didn't like start liking Tom after his portrayal of Loki in Thor and/or The Avengers. I've actually loved him since his days on Wallander. Magnus Martinsson was my spirit animal and you will fucking deal.
II | I have thee strangest habit of singing and speaking monotonously. If you're a friend of mine who's seen me in person, talked to me on the phone, talked to me on Skype whatever...you know firsthand that I have a penchant of singing obnoxiously and horribly out loud and it can create some of the greatest memories for us all. In the same breath, the best moments for anyone who chats with me is when I break into this monotonous tone. Whether it's speaking or singing, when I get into that mode, it's ridiculously hilarious. I'll either break out into the most random bits of lyrics that have nothing to do with the song or I just start making unintelligible sounds.
It is rather embarrassing when people walk by and hear it or when someone knew is added to our friend's circle and they are hearing it for the first time. After a while though, it catches on and just becomes a huge inside joke of ridiculousness. Gah, I love my mates.
III | I like really, really cheesy things. It's funny because I'm not fazed by things like sex or negativity or overly positive thing, but when cute things happens like people finding love in odd places or seeing my friends happy over something small...I can't help but get a bit of a fluttery feeling. Though it is fleeting, I do smile over the cheesy and cutesy things. I also smile and fawn over really cute baby animals as well as small and furry ones (i.e. bunnies, kittens, puppies, baby hedgehogs, etcetera). It's a thing.
I | The Lebanese-English singer, MIKA. Listen. When MIKA since he came out with "Relax (Take It Easy)", I instantly fell in love. His voice is lovely and his range is so incredibly intense that it's mind blogging. Following that song, he came out with "Grace Kelly" and dear goodness, I still remember all the lyrics to that song. After he released his second album though, he took a bit of a break because he was touring for a bit and then he poofed to work on his life and work on his album, The Origin of Love. Because of that, I ended up drifting from his music because I am one of those people who gets antsy for new material from an artist the more I listen to them and I did not want him to become one of those artists. When his new album released last year, I hadn't gotten the time to properly listen to it as that's when my life started to get really crazy and hectic. I did manage to listen to "Celebrate (feat. Pharrell Williams)" before I promptly put aside a lot of music, including his 3rd album.
So imagine my utter happiness when I was going through another one of my Ed Sheeran binges that I stumbled upon his latest release; a song called "Popular Song" originally featuring Priscilla Renea but featuring Ariana Grande for the single version of the song. So when I heard this song, I promptly flipped my shit. First of all, I'm a fan of Ariana's voice and then when you take her voice and combine with MIKA's lovely voice...I could not. Second, the chorus is from the song "Popular" from one of my favourite books/musicials ever, Wicked...again, I could not. Third, the video was so cartoon-ish and poppy and so Mika that I could not not love it. So I went ahead and decided that I definitely need to hurry up and acquire this album.
I haven't given the album a complete listen yet, but I can say that from the songs that I have heard, I'm terribly excited to listen to this work of art.
If you want to listen to some of my favourite MIKA performances and songs, here are a few recommendations:
II | Watching Tom Hiddleston interviews. Look. He's intelligent, eloquent, passionate, insanely deep, and he rambles. It's so interesting watching his interviews because it's like his mind is endless and his passion is so evident. He's humbling in so many ways and not even in the obvious ways either. Everything about him is fascinating and I have no shame admitting that I watch his interviews constantly. In fact, a lot of the time, I type up these blogs with him speaking in the background. It's terribly comforting and it makes doing things easier.
Other songs to look up and listen to by Adam Lambert are: "Strut", "Whataya Want From Me", "Fever", and "Time For Miracles" to name a few. You're very welcome.
IV | Bounce music. Unless you've been living under a rock, twerking is a huge thing now. Here's the thing, twerking was originated in 1993 in New Orleans to accompany bounce music. Pussy popping (no, I'm not censoring myself, deal) also originated there. Bounce music is said to have been created in 1980s, but most people believe it was actually starting in 1991 with MC T. Tucker and DJ Irv.. I think because it's so uptempo and fun and high energy is a huge reason why I'm finding myself attracted to bounce music, plus golden songs like "Stupid" by Big Freedia & Katey Red are another plus.
Whew! That was actually tiring. It was more tiring to edit it though. I can't even explain how not fun the editing process is, especially when you go back and realise that you have a bunch of mistakes anyway that you couldn't get in your sleep addled mind. Not gonna lie, I was also slightly tipsy while editing this. Oops. Sorry, but not really.
Until next time, lovies. Remember, I love you like I love cream cheese frosting. Well, I love you like I love strawberry cake topped with cream cheese frosting. Nomnomz.

Hello, there!
Welcome to Waiting for June. Waiting for June is a Lifestyle Blog that focuses predominantly on daily life shenanigans and nerd culture, but occasionally dabbles in health & beauty, food, and prattling about serious topics.
Waiting for June is the sixth iteration of the same blog with a different name and structure. The original iteration of this blog was started back in November of 2012 as a purely Beauty and Lifestyle blog under the name Monochromatics which later got abandoned and restarted under the name sumeoseo. With sumeoseo came more beauty and review based blog which quickly lost its appeal. From that point on, there were three name changes, multiple hiatuses, and two blog changes before coming to where we are now.
Throughout this journey, I've learned that this blog shouldn't be limited to what I feel fits in with what I read from other bloggers nor should I put myself in a position to compromise my integrity and the feeling of transparency that I feel should always be there. I've also learned that blogging is probably never going to be a huge source of income the way I always expected it to be. So when I finally returned back to blogging with a fresh blog and an equally fresh name, I decided to make this blog about anything that I wanted to and break the mold of trying to fit into the mold. I can only imagine where this experience is going to take me.

Hello, there!
Welcome to the little about me section of the blog. If it isn't obvious by now, I'm Mochizuki and I'm kind of pretty important here. Admittedly, Mochizuki is a nom de plume, but I digress. I'm currently somewhere in my twenty-somethings and doing that thing where I'm learning how to be a proper adult while balancing being a student and a worker. Speaking of school, I'm a Graphic Design major who's concentration is Web Design and I take my classes online. If I'm being honest here, I do everything online because of my apprehension towards too much social interaction.
I'm typically reading something, playing a video game, watching anime, or something otherwise nerdy because that's how I roll. I don't engage with people unless I'm positive there is something in common there simply because I don't want to make it weird for anyone involved. That said, the reason I originally created this blog, or rather, any of my blogging adventures, was so that I could engage with people wo share the same interests as me while simultaneously sharing my own things with people.
I'm not terribly good at about me's, so expect this to be updated sporadically in a lot of ways.
The little spots on the internet that I read to pass time.

A clear and concise guide on how reviews are approached and written.
This blog touches on and is dedicated to a variety of topics including: daily life, cosmetics, my journey to being a healthier me, music, books, anime, et cetera; however, a large chunk of the content found here are some form of review be they miniature reviews or full blown, in-depth reviews. Because of this, this blog has decided to implement and share it's review policy.
Please note that this policy is liable to change at any point in time, so do constantly check back before sending inquiries to kurahge@outlook.com.
Depending on the workload and the type of product is received, at any given time, multiple products can be in queue to be reviewed.
Depending on the product, the amount of time for a review to be posted varies. Typically, the length of time is as follows: anything health or beauty releated will take between 5 days and 1 week, books take between 3 days and 5 days, music and movie reviews take between 1 to 2 days, and most other reviews are variant depending on the situation at hand.
Products are predominantly purchased with my own money. On the off chance that the product or prodcuts were provided to me, there is always a note at the top of post and as well as text within the post that acknowledges such. Despite being provided a product or not, the opinions are honest and valid.
As of April 14th, 2016, there has been a change in how reviews are formatted. If working with a product that has a list of ingredients (health, beauty, cosmetics, etcetera), there will be a graphic that lists the ingredients out of respect and transparency for the readers.
Photos for reviews, particularly health and beauty related, are unedited and provided in a clear manner to help show what results occurred (if any.)
If at any point, a review is rushed despite being informed of and knowing the review policy of this blog, I will drop the review and pay for the product accordingly. I am a college student and a full-time worker, blogging is a bit of side project no matter how much I wish it otherwise, so my time is a bit crammed. Basically, rushing will terminate any agreement we may have unless it's valid (meaning absolutely my fault.)
