Hello, there! I'm Mochizuki, a twenty-something year old Graphic & Web Design student located somewhere in America and welcome to Waiting for June a Lifestyle blog that occasionally gets a tad too personal, talks about cosmetics, and constantly the home for prattles about Bandcamp, nerd culture, and tea/coffee. Even if you don't, you're still pretty dope for visiting, reading, enjoying, et cetera.
This post was supposed to be made two days ago, but I've been in and out and super exhausted since that point, so I haven't exactly had the time to sit down and type up a blog post as of yet. Now that I've gotten the time, I can sit down and share my amazing experience with you all.
Seeing as I took my flatmate NIL with me to the screening, before we start, I'd like direct you guys to NIL's post on this adventure if you would like to read it. Also, a huge “Thanks!” to both Klout and Warner Bros for giving me the opportunity and tickets to go see this movie and experience the awesomeness of it.
Now, let's jump into this post. 가자!
Although I was given these tickets and this overall experience because of Warner Bros and Klout, I have not been compensated to give any particular form of review or opinions on what was seen, in fact, I wasn't told to do this whatsoever. This is a post done on my own volition and not because I was asked to do so. Out of respect for both companies and those are planning to view GRAVITY when it hits the cinemas, I have opted not to include too many details of the movie in this post and will refrain from giving a proper review until the movie is fully out.
As per usual, all opinions and words are my own and as they are mine and mine alone, they should be taken as they are.
On the 17th of this month, I got an email from the amazing Klout that alerted me that I was eligible for a new perk. While I was excited, I won't lie that I was a bit hesitant seeing as how my first and only perk from Klout before this one were samples of Merrick Purrfect Bistro and I have no cats. So needless to say, I was expecting something small and not at all something I would necessarily need to accept as a perk. Imagine my shock when I got over the hesitation and opened my email to see that the perk was to go to a screening of the upcoming movie GRAVITY. I won't lie, I spent the next half hour in shock and squeaking silently. It was terribly embarrassing, but nonetheless, I quickly completed all the necessary steps to make sure I reserved my spot.
I wanted to go for an earlier screening, but all of the earlier ones were not only full, but had already came and went. Depressing, but it's all good. All that matters is that I got to go. I do admit that having to go on a Thursday is not ideal for me, but who am I to be picky (Beggars can't be choosers.). Nonetheless, I was excited. It wasn't until Thursday rolled around that I had a true mini-attack. There were circumstances that led me to believe that I wouldn't be able to go, but thankfully...crisis was averted.
For this screening, I initially wanted to go with otto because she and I hadn't been out together in a while and I missed her, but she told me that she couldn't go. So I instead went with NIL and it was a pretty chill time.
Selcas:NIL and I took a picture in the cinema's lavatory. We looked bad ass and I genuinely loved my outfit (but I'm a sucker for things that are black or neutrals).
We left the house at around 5:45 and we were aiming to get there way before 7pm so that we could make sure they had the right name (they didn't, they had my government name and really that was so cringeworthy to hear). Surprisingly enough, I underestimated how far the place was from our home and we only ended up getting there at 6:50. I won't lie. When we got to where the theatre was, I was immediately taken aback by how many people were already in line. The line initially wrapped around like three stores and behind me were even more people. It was so long that they had to split the line into 3 sections so that people had a way to get into the stores. It was the longest ten minutes of my life while waiting for 7 to hit and the line to start moving.
Despite how long the line was, it didn't take long for us to get in. The line moved surprisingly fast and when we got to the theatre's entrance, a woman from WB was waiting for us on behalf of Klout and directly after giving her my name, I was permitted to go right inside and take a west where there was an orange paper. Of course, there would be a bloody problem though because the two men at the door tried to stop me from entering. Can I just say how much of a huge "No!" that was? I was definitely not going to be stopped. After a quick mumbled explanation, they understood and permitted us entry. Klout reserved pretty much the front rows starting from the fourth row and stopping at the tenth or so row back. (I might be wrong because I didn't bother going back that far.) Since we arrived earlier than the allotted time, we were there sitting for a good couple minutes.
When it was the time for the movie to start, almost exactly at 7:30 as stated, a man in a black suit introduced himself as "Agent Black" and basically told us that he was there on behalf of the WB and that cellular devices were to be turned off and that if they weren't, "his men were walking around with night vision where cell phones come up as recording devices" and "he didn't want to have to ask us leave". I kid you not. Let me tell you how I really couldn't have cared any less about that threat otherwise, but I decided to not be a twat and just turned off my phone. What was really ironic to me was the fact that I was using a Kindle and Evernote durng the movie to write down notes and thoughts about each section of the movie and I was never asked to leave, even though my Kindle was bright (despite the low brightness I had set it to). So yeah, Agent Black was Agent Bullocks in my opinion. Not to mention that no one was really walking around like he said they would.
Despite all of that, I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the screening and GRAVITY was really good.
Goodies: The Real 3D glasses, my Kindle, and the orange reservation paper. Of course I had to take a picture of this since it was so monumental to me.
So let's talk about this movie, eh? I'm completely excited to talk about it as much as I can. Let's start off with the basics.
What is GRAVITY?GRAVITY is an hour and thirty-one minute long 3D film co-written, co-produced, co-edited and directed by Alfonso Cuarón (the force behind the amazing Children of MenPan's Labyrinth and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) and also co-written by his son, Jonás Cuarón. It stars Sandra Bullock as Dr. Ryan Stone and George Clooney as Matt Kowalsky. What is GRAVITY about?GRAVITY is about medical engineer Dr. Ryan Stone is on her first Space Shuttle mission, accompanied by veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky, who is commanding his final expedition. During a spacewalk, debris from a satellite crashes into the space shuttle Explorer, leaving it mostly destroyed, and stranding them in space with limited air. Without a means of communication with Earth, they must cooperate to survive.
Here's the thing, I (well, we, cause I think NIL felt the same way) went into this movie expecting it to be in your face and obnoxious as most 3D movies as of late are. Like I mentioned earlier, the last movies in 3D I proper enjoyed were Avengers Assemble and Polar Express. Normally, I find 3D movies completely unnecessary otherwise. However! This movie. This movie right here, GRAVITY? It couldn't have been done in any other way, in my honest opinion. The beautiful thing about this movie (and kudos to Alfonso Cuarón for accomplishing this feat) is that it's just that...absolutely beautiful. The beauty of the movie is kept intact and even heightened with the addition of the 3D and it left me shell shocked. The beauty of space, the sunrise, the darkness, the stars...the silence. It was so perfect and sometimes, I felt like I just wanted to be in the film and sink into the abyss willingly.
In addition to the beauty of the aesthetics, the acting was amazing. Not many people know this, but I go up for Sandra Bullock. I've loved pretty much every movie I've seen with her in it and if I haven't, it wasn't because of her. Her acting is absolutely amazing to me and I love that she's so versatile as an actress. So seeing her in this movie and seeing her act with such emotions was simply outstanding. The fear and dread in her eyes and speech sent shivers up and down my spine and the scenes in which she'd shed tears or talk about her past, I could just feel my heart break further and further. When someone can act so well that I can connect with them, they've done something splendid.
George Clooney was also really good. I love that he and Sandra were the complete offsets to each other in the movie because when I first heard about who was cast, I immediately thought of how different of an approach they take as artists in their field and how it would only work if there was a way to work in that aspect. Thankfully, Alfonso Cuarón obviously knew what was needed and implemented it almost flawlessly. Where Dr. Ryan Stone is anxious, subdued, and more often than not, irresolute, Matt Kowalsky is confident, outgoing and tenacious. Where Dr. Stone is serious, Matt Kowalsky is drily humourous. The dynamic between the two and how they play off each other is simply perfection and it reminds me of some of my own mates and I when we converse.
Of course it wouldn't be a proper Alfonso Cuarón film if there wasn't any dread, drama, or a combination of both admist all the beauty. So far, I've done well in the fact that I haven't spoiled the movie too much, if at all, and I won't do it now. Just know that GRAVITY will alter your ideals on space and being in space a tenfold.
“Life in space is impossible.”
GRAVITY is about desperation, loss, sadness, letting go, and most importantly...what determination and courage really means. It's a movie that tugs at your heartstrings and reminds you of how human you are. It's a movie that drags you to the edge alongside the characters and pulls you back just when it becomes too much. It's about suffering and living and the change of perceptions.
...and I absolutely recommend it, especially if you're a fan of Drama, Suspense, or Sci-Fi movies. Hell, if you're a fan of Alfonso Cuarón, you definitely need to jump on board and see this movie.
GRAVITY opens on October 4, 2013 in the United States and Canada. As for the United Kingdom and elsewhere, I'm not exactly sure so check out your local cinemas and see what they say. And thank you again to Klout and Warner Bros for the opportunity. I know I've said this a lot in the post, but I definitely cannot say it enough.
So after I jacked a crap ton of the 3D glasses and we left the theatre (no, I'm not kidding...I have a box of 'em now), we were heading out when we saw something that made my little 'ole fangirl heart burst into a thousand little pieces of excitement...the huge arse promotional posters for Thor: The Dark World.
First of all. AHHHHHHH!! The picture does not do the posters justice. Everything about the posters were perfect and as soon as I saw it, I looked at NIL and tried desperately to tamp down my feelings before just saying to hell with it and spazzing briefly as there were people around. You guys don't even know how excited I am about this. Second. If you know me, you know my love for Loki. Not just Marvel's Loki, but Loki in general. I love Norse Mythology and I find Loki so disturbingly beautiful that I can't even with him sometimes. Also, we know I have my (terribly hidden) crush on Tom Hiddleston. So you know I had to get a picture beside the poster, right?
I don't know why anyone would expect a normal picture from me. At all. I love Loki but bump that, I will never take a serious picture in the midst of fan attack or while standing beside a Loki poster. It's a thing I do. Deal with it. Also, I had to zoom in on the picture and paste the zoomed in version because that was far, far more amusing than it had any right to be. Also, if you aren't following me on Twitter or haven't seen yet, I'm working on trying to get Tom to look at this picture because I've no idea what shame is. Y'all should help out and click this link to retweet.
Hey, do you think Klout can get me to screening of Thor: The Dark World or no?
And that's about it! Another adventure come and gone, another post typed and made. I hope you lot enjoyed the post and let me know if you're gonna go watch GRAVITY when it comes to a cinema near you down in the comments below. ♡
Until next time, lovies. Remember, I love you like I love cream cheese frosting. Well, I love you like I love strawberry cake topped with cream cheese frosting. Nomnomz.

Hello, there!
Welcome to Waiting for June. Waiting for June is a Lifestyle Blog that focuses predominantly on daily life shenanigans and nerd culture, but occasionally dabbles in health & beauty, food, and prattling about serious topics.
Waiting for June is the sixth iteration of the same blog with a different name and structure. The original iteration of this blog was started back in November of 2012 as a purely Beauty and Lifestyle blog under the name Monochromatics which later got abandoned and restarted under the name sumeoseo. With sumeoseo came more beauty and review based blog which quickly lost its appeal. From that point on, there were three name changes, multiple hiatuses, and two blog changes before coming to where we are now.
Throughout this journey, I've learned that this blog shouldn't be limited to what I feel fits in with what I read from other bloggers nor should I put myself in a position to compromise my integrity and the feeling of transparency that I feel should always be there. I've also learned that blogging is probably never going to be a huge source of income the way I always expected it to be. So when I finally returned back to blogging with a fresh blog and an equally fresh name, I decided to make this blog about anything that I wanted to and break the mold of trying to fit into the mold. I can only imagine where this experience is going to take me.

Hello, there!
Welcome to the little about me section of the blog. If it isn't obvious by now, I'm Mochizuki and I'm kind of pretty important here. Admittedly, Mochizuki is a nom de plume, but I digress. I'm currently somewhere in my twenty-somethings and doing that thing where I'm learning how to be a proper adult while balancing being a student and a worker. Speaking of school, I'm a Graphic Design major who's concentration is Web Design and I take my classes online. If I'm being honest here, I do everything online because of my apprehension towards too much social interaction.
I'm typically reading something, playing a video game, watching anime, or something otherwise nerdy because that's how I roll. I don't engage with people unless I'm positive there is something in common there simply because I don't want to make it weird for anyone involved. That said, the reason I originally created this blog, or rather, any of my blogging adventures, was so that I could engage with people wo share the same interests as me while simultaneously sharing my own things with people.
I'm not terribly good at about me's, so expect this to be updated sporadically in a lot of ways.

A clear and concise guide on how reviews are approached and written.
This blog touches on and is dedicated to a variety of topics including: daily life, cosmetics, my journey to being a healthier me, music, books, anime, et cetera; however, a large chunk of the content found here are some form of review be they miniature reviews or full blown, in-depth reviews. Because of this, this blog has decided to implement and share it's review policy.
Please note that this policy is liable to change at any point in time, so do constantly check back before sending inquiries to kurahge@outlook.com.
Depending on the workload and the type of product is received, at any given time, multiple products can be in queue to be reviewed.
Depending on the product, the amount of time for a review to be posted varies. Typically, the length of time is as follows: anything health or beauty releated will take between 5 days and 1 week, books take between 3 days and 5 days, music and movie reviews take between 1 to 2 days, and most other reviews are variant depending on the situation at hand.
Products are predominantly purchased with my own money. On the off chance that the product or prodcuts were provided to me, there is always a note at the top of post and as well as text within the post that acknowledges such. Despite being provided a product or not, the opinions are honest and valid.
As of April 14th, 2016, there has been a change in how reviews are formatted. If working with a product that has a list of ingredients (health, beauty, cosmetics, etcetera), there will be a graphic that lists the ingredients out of respect and transparency for the readers.
Photos for reviews, particularly health and beauty related, are unedited and provided in a clear manner to help show what results occurred (if any.)
If at any point, a review is rushed despite being informed of and knowing the review policy of this blog, I will drop the review and pay for the product accordingly. I am a college student and a full-time worker, blogging is a bit of side project no matter how much I wish it otherwise, so my time is a bit crammed. Basically, rushing will terminate any agreement we may have unless it's valid (meaning absolutely my fault.)
This post was supposed to be made two days ago, but I've been in and out and super exhausted since that point, so I haven't exactly had the time to sit down and type up a blog post as of yet. Now that I've gotten the time, I can sit down and share my amazing experience with you all.
