Lifestyle and Daily Shenanigans with a dash of Nerd Appreciation thrown in.
Willkommen!
Hello, there! I'm Mochizuki, a twenty-something year old Graphic & Web Design student located somewhere in America and welcome to Waiting for June a Lifestyle blog that occasionally gets a tad too personal, talks about cosmetics, and constantly the home for prattles about Bandcamp, nerd culture, and tea/coffee. Today is a post that I’m uber excited about doing. It’s been quite some time since I’ve done a beauty post (roughly four months give or take) and I’ve been itching to do a proper one for a bit. Another reason I’m super excited about this post is because it’s on my first Infuenster box. Truth be told, I’m not as active as I wish to be on the site, so it was really a shock to even be notified that I had done enough to even get a box to begin with.
I’ve had this box for quite some time, but I was on one of my breaks from blogging where I had absolutely no motivation to do anything but watching shows, movies, drink tea, read, and sleep. I almost got out of my funk just to type up something about this box, but I felt that it would feel too forced and opted to wait it out. Now that I’m out of my funk and back to blogging, I can finally have a chat with you lot about it.
I have tried everything save for the Deep Cleaning Clay Mask because I’m a very frequent user of Montagne Jeunesse and can give a review without using that mask and mostly because I wanted to save it. I also didn’t use the Dry Shampoo because I currently have really short natural hair so it would be a tad pointless. This post is a little low on images and I’m so sorry for that, my old memory card for my camera is bloody broken, so a lot of the pictures I took are irretrievable. (Cry for my memory card.)
Note: This post contains products that were sent to me through the Influenster Program. That being said, the opinions in this post are not influenced in way, shape, or manner by monetary or influence of any kind. These opinions are my own and whatever is said here reflects on me, as a person, and my personal likes and dislikes. In some instances, there will be bits of profanity.
Back in October of last year, I got an email from Influenster telling me that due to a survey I had taken previously I was determined to be a match for the Violet VoxBox and at first, I was unconcerned about it and didn’t really think much about it. It wasn’t until I got the follow up message requesting that I confirm my address that it really set in. Now, I’m not a newbie to receiving things to review, but I’ve honestly never gotten a box like an Influenster box (and no, I don’t count monthly boxes because you pay for them) and again, I wasn’t that active on the site, so it was a bit of shock for me.
Nonetheless, I was excited to get it. However, it took me sometime to receive the box and in that time, I completely forgot that I was getting it. Then it came in the mail....and well, let’s just say that I had a small freakout before pretty much hugging the box close to my chest.
Finally, I regained my wits long enough to properly give the box a once over and unbox it properly.
I wish you guys could see the full extent of how gorgeous the Violet of this box is.
The first thing that caught me was the bold colour of the box. I did a bit of editing to the picture above, but I assure you that the colour of the box is not that far off from what you’re seeing there unless you hit the box with an ultra bright flash. True to it’s name, Violet VoxBox, the box is such an intense Violet colour. Normally, I’m not a huge fan of intense solid colours that aren’t black, white, or grey, but this was such a nice and vibrant colour that I completely overlooked it and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I will say that I was tad bit gutted that there were little holes pierced in the box which was an obvious sign that the mail handled my box with shite care as they tend to do sometimes, but again, something that could be easily overlooked.
Finally, it was time to open the box and take a little peak inside.
Upon first glance into the box, this is what you’re greeted with.
Upon first glance into the box, I was greeted by an index card that listed all the products found in the box and the flap that contained my Montagne Jeunesse mask. I won’t lie, I let out a small squee of happiness because I absolutely adore Montagne Jeunesse masks. Not to mention, I always love when I get boxes and they actually tell you what’s in the box rather than letting you try and figure it out. After reading up on what I got, I finally opened the box and took everything out to get a good look at it all.
The box was full of lovely goodies. Too bad I ate the Ferrero Rocher they gave me as a little side on.
After I laid everything out and took my pictures accordingly, I finally looked into what everything was. Here’s a list of what I got in the box:
Montagne JeunesseDeep Sea Mud Spa Mask: “Join the Revolution and start a new weekly skincare regime with the Clay Spas from Montagne Jeunesse. These natural bamboo fabric masks are infused with clay for a cleansing experience that is better, quicker, and easier than before.”
+ I haven’t used this product because, as I stated above, I love this brand and really wanted to save this particular mask until I felt that it was the appropriate time to use it. That being said, based off the numerous experiences I’ve had with this brand, I don’t have anything bad to say about the product. It’s cheap and more extremely affordable, it gets the job done easily, it’s light but works like some higher end and thicker face masks I’ve used and they smell lovely. The only letdown is the fact that I wish there was more product. It’s a perfect amount for how much you spend, but I totally wish I could get a huge box set of the mask for the price of one. Wishful thinking, I know, but I can’t help it.
Not Your Mother’s Clean FreakRefreshing Dry Shampoo: “I know you’re busy keeping up with that social life! So don’t waste precious time in the bathroom, just use Clean Freak. Get that perfect hair (and perfect guy!) before all the other girls. Expect more room on your social calendar because this salon formula dry shampoo will have you and your hair ready for a night out on the town.”
+ I can’t dish out a proper review on this as of yet because I had my hair cut and I don’t have nearly enough hair to properly test out this product and I refuse to use it on my wigs. So when my hair grows out some, I’ll definitely test it out and give it a proper review.
Sally Hansen’s Triple Shine#290 — Vanity Flare: “New Triple Shine Nail Colour! Daily defense from water and wear. Get ready for the shiniest nails ever! Water to workout, day in and day out, nothing will dull these nails. Available in 30 shades.”
+ I have a separate, full review for this polish in the workings, so I’m not going to say anything about this product so that I can save it for the full review. Just know that it took some time, but I rather like it now. Not a favourite, but definitely something nice.
Goody’s Athlétique Headband: “Goody Athlétique provides hold and comfort so you can be physically active and strong in body and mind.”
+ I had to use this when I was wearing a wig because, again, hair cut would make this look weird. Honestly, this wasn’t really appealing at all for me and if we’re being completely honest here, I would much rather prefer just pulling up my hair in a ponytail, dealing with sweaty strands, and calling it a day rather than wasting my time and effort putting on this headband comfortably. Uncomfortable and unnecessary. I just keep it in the Influenster box in hopes that it would just poof away...it hasn’t happened yet. Definitely more wishful thinking.
SOYJOYDark Chocolate Cherry: “SOYJOY is all-natural, gluten free snack bar made with non-GMO soybeans and real fruit pieces.. Between 130-140 calories, SOYJOY is a great on-the-go snack or it can be enjoyed warm (unwrap and microwave for 8-10 seconds for a “fresh-baked” experience!) with coffee or tea.”
+ This SOYJOY bar was such a delicious surprise. I had heard of the company in passing, but I hadn’t really encountered or heard of/from anyone who had tasted the product so I was bit in the blind about it. Finally, when it came down to getting the Violet Voxbox, I was terribly intrigued it being included in this box. Almost immediately, I wanted to see if it was hyping about. If you follow me on Instagram, you might remember when I posted picture. I sat down after finishing a blog post with a cup of coffee and the SOYJOY bar while I scrolled through my Twitter timeline. Can I just go on the record right now and say that the bar I was sent was so good that after eating it, not only was I full, but I also find myself wanting to implement this bar in my day to day lifestyle. It was that good. It was the right amount of savoury and sweet and was absolutely lush despite how hard/thick it appeared at first glance. I definitely need to order some more in the future and I totally recommend it if you’re the type of person to enjoy a bar that isn’t too overpowering.
Overall, I was definitely happy with the #VioletVoxBox and I am definitely pumped up to get more active on the Influenster site so that I can have more opportunities like this.
Boop! Well, here’s the goodbye message of the post. It saddens me to draw this post to close as it was a post I enjoyed typing up, but it must be done. I’m terribly thankful to Influenster for the box and the lovely products as well as for introducing me to something new and amazing. It was nice to take a break from doing the yearly posts to do this and I feel like this was long awaiting. Whelps, I’m done here! Until next time, darlings! ❤

Hello, there!
Welcome to Waiting for June. Waiting for June is a Lifestyle Blog that focuses predominantly on daily life shenanigans and nerd culture, but occasionally dabbles in health & beauty, food, and prattling about serious topics.
Waiting for June is the sixth iteration of the same blog with a different name and structure. The original iteration of this blog was started back in November of 2012 as a purely Beauty and Lifestyle blog under the name Monochromatics which later got abandoned and restarted under the name sumeoseo. With sumeoseo came more beauty and review based blog which quickly lost its appeal. From that point on, there were three name changes, multiple hiatuses, and two blog changes before coming to where we are now.
Throughout this journey, I've learned that this blog shouldn't be limited to what I feel fits in with what I read from other bloggers nor should I put myself in a position to compromise my integrity and the feeling of transparency that I feel should always be there. I've also learned that blogging is probably never going to be a huge source of income the way I always expected it to be. So when I finally returned back to blogging with a fresh blog and an equally fresh name, I decided to make this blog about anything that I wanted to and break the mold of trying to fit into the mold. I can only imagine where this experience is going to take me.

Hello, there!
Welcome to the little about me section of the blog. If it isn't obvious by now, I'm Mochizuki and I'm kind of pretty important here. Admittedly, Mochizuki is a nom de plume, but I digress. I'm currently somewhere in my twenty-somethings and doing that thing where I'm learning how to be a proper adult while balancing being a student and a worker. Speaking of school, I'm a Graphic Design major who's concentration is Web Design and I take my classes online. If I'm being honest here, I do everything online because of my apprehension towards too much social interaction.
I'm typically reading something, playing a video game, watching anime, or something otherwise nerdy because that's how I roll. I don't engage with people unless I'm positive there is something in common there simply because I don't want to make it weird for anyone involved. That said, the reason I originally created this blog, or rather, any of my blogging adventures, was so that I could engage with people wo share the same interests as me while simultaneously sharing my own things with people.
I'm not terribly good at about me's, so expect this to be updated sporadically in a lot of ways.
The little spots on the internet that I read to pass time.

A clear and concise guide on how reviews are approached and written.
This blog touches on and is dedicated to a variety of topics including: daily life, cosmetics, my journey to being a healthier me, music, books, anime, et cetera; however, a large chunk of the content found here are some form of review be they miniature reviews or full blown, in-depth reviews. Because of this, this blog has decided to implement and share it's review policy.
Please note that this policy is liable to change at any point in time, so do constantly check back before sending inquiries to kurahge@outlook.com.
Depending on the workload and the type of product is received, at any given time, multiple products can be in queue to be reviewed.
Depending on the product, the amount of time for a review to be posted varies. Typically, the length of time is as follows: anything health or beauty releated will take between 5 days and 1 week, books take between 3 days and 5 days, music and movie reviews take between 1 to 2 days, and most other reviews are variant depending on the situation at hand.
Products are predominantly purchased with my own money. On the off chance that the product or prodcuts were provided to me, there is always a note at the top of post and as well as text within the post that acknowledges such. Despite being provided a product or not, the opinions are honest and valid.
As of April 14th, 2016, there has been a change in how reviews are formatted. If working with a product that has a list of ingredients (health, beauty, cosmetics, etcetera), there will be a graphic that lists the ingredients out of respect and transparency for the readers.
Photos for reviews, particularly health and beauty related, are unedited and provided in a clear manner to help show what results occurred (if any.)
If at any point, a review is rushed despite being informed of and knowing the review policy of this blog, I will drop the review and pay for the product accordingly. I am a college student and a full-time worker, blogging is a bit of side project no matter how much I wish it otherwise, so my time is a bit crammed. Basically, rushing will terminate any agreement we may have unless it's valid (meaning absolutely my fault.)
