Lifestyle and Daily Shenanigans with a dash of Nerd Appreciation thrown in.
Willkommen!
Hello, there! I'm Mochizuki, a twenty-something year old Graphic & Web Design student located somewhere in America and welcome to Waiting for June a Lifestyle blog that occasionally gets a tad too personal, talks about cosmetics, and constantly the home for prattles about Bandcamp, nerd culture, and tea/coffee. To find out more about blog and the blogger, click here.
Thank you so much for visiting and reading Waiting for June! If you like what we do here and want to help support the addiction of the blogger, you should look into spoiling the blog and its creator with coffee and gifts by using the links below. Even if you don't, you're still pretty dope for visiting, reading, enjoying, et cetera.
I do think that this whole me posting consistently and then disappearing for anywhere from a couple days to a week+ is going to become a habit for a bit now. Dealing with school, personal issues, having a slight social life, and trying not to have a mental breakdown is leaving me too exhausted to have the time to sit down and finalize the blog's layout for next month, let alone type up a blog of any sorts for you lot to read. Which sucks because I do rather fancy blogging and interacting with you lot. Did I mention I have a Twitter? Hint hint.
A lot of cool things have happened lately, so let's jump right into this post.
This past weekend, I got to spend it with my lovely wifeu, otto and it was amazing. I think it's been like 2-3 weeks since we last saw each other and I missed her dearly. I also kind of forced her to come spend the weekend with me (she had a headache, but I just told her to grab her shit and let's go). Sorry bb, I hope you aren't too mad at me.
Anyway, as it was...I was feeling pretty crap myself both physically and mentally. Exhaustion is too much for me sometimes and it weighs down on me more mentally than physically. I'm prone to be a lot more snippy and snappy as well as being easily made upset or depressed when I'm exhausted. It's because of this that I didn't bother to make myself look good at all during the weekend.
Nevertheless, after picking up otto on Saturday and grabbing some thing for her mum, we set off on our weekend journey. I make it sound a lot more interesting than it actually was. We went to Starbucks so that I could grab some new tea and 2 Venti Iced Green Tea Lattes with Vanilla and extra shaken (one for my mum and one for me) while otto went off to get Burger King. After that we headed over to Rue21 so my mum could see if she could find a shirt to wear out when she went clubbing that night and so that otto could check when she was gonna work. We loitered around a bit and talked to her co-workers before leaving. Side note, we're convinced my mum is a ninja. There's no other explanation for how quickly and silently she moves even though she's like the slowest walker we know. It's the biggest mindfuck ever.
Anyway. After Rue, we headed to the Beauty Supply store (my mum went into CATO) and we looked around for hair that we'd use to make future wigs with. We ended up heading back over to the makeup section of the Beauty Supply store. We sorta got reprimanded by the clerk for testing the lipstick shades. Which really grinds my gears. I hate that more often than not, when purchasing drugstore or beauty supply stores lipsticks/lipglosses it's like taboo to have testers for lipsticks. It's so irritating. So anyway, after that bit of ridiculousness, otto tested out some bronzers (they actually had a tester for these) and I went through the nails/nail art section. Overall, otto ended up buying a lipgloss and I bought the other one she wanted while I purchased quite a few things and managed to stay within my 20$ limit.
My Purchases: I managed to get all of this for 20.04$, if I'm remebering correctly. Not including the Smart Water...I got that at CVS.
— List of Items Purchased:
» Nail File (I forget what it's called)
» Abella's Salon Board (2 Pack)
» KLEANCOLOR Eye/Eyebrow Pencil (912 – White)
» KLEANCOLOR Lip Liner Pencil (846 – Hot Red)*
» Ruby Kisses' 24hr Eyeshadow Magic Eyeshadow Primer
» Nicka K (NK) Creme Lipstick (Black, Conditioning Gloss, & Red Tint or Ruby**)
» Color Express Complete Nail Kit (Raspberry)
– *: I probably will never use this as a lip liner, so expect to see it used as an eyeliner more often than not.
– **:I forgot the red colour I picked up and I can't find it right now. I'm a failure, I know.
After that, we headed to Walmart. Where my mu refused to let me get the DVDs I wanted (but I'll end up getting them at some point in the near future) and otto and I picked up some drinks. Then we went to Subway and sat around while my mum got her nails done. Which led us to being absolutely bored which led to otto making this masterpiece.
The best note ever. Hands down.
Apparently, it was supposed to be a snake, but I assumed it was sperm. So she named it Sperm Snake. She drew out my Vindictus character, Porver, as he is now and not how he looked in my previous Vidictus post pictures. She forgot he had a booty, though, and then added it in as an afterthought. Ain't it beautiful? Obviously, I cannot deal with her. I made my own note, but otto's a dick and didn't appreciate my hearts. She said they were two sided stars. Fucking rude.
We also shared a sandwich and an Coca-Cola Icee drink, but that's not important.
After all that, we ended up back at my place and I let her try on my infamous red wig. We drank and acted like fools and then promptly passed out. Good times.
otto and I: Damn, I look really, really tired. And this cam out really blurry.
On Sunday, we went to Staples and Publix but there was nothing important about that. Oh, I did manage to wear one of the wigs I got when I bought the red wig. Originally the wig was braided, but I took the braids out and jut decide to wear it out and then straighten it.
The wig was really poofy. I had no time to do my makeup. Ugh, couldn't even cover up how tired I was with makeup. ;A;
The wig was so poofy that I ended up pulling it back and putting it up in a faux bun. It also shedded like shit when it was in its original poofy state.
otto and I: I look shit here since getting in the picture was a split second decision, but look at mah purdy wifeu.
After straightening, the wig was so much more bearable and it wasn't shedding as much, thankfully. I'll get better pictures of the wig straighted, but here's a snippet.
Expect to see it a lot more. And thank you to the wife, who straightened it for me. I luh you, bb. ♥
So, after otto left on Monday. I went online shopping. Which is probably my second favourite thing to do. I was casually browsing through some sites dedicated to plus sized clothing and ended up back on AVENUE. I suddenly remembered that I had some stuff waiting in my cart to buy. So I thought why the hell not. I browsed the site a bit more before not really finding anything I wanted aside from the stuff already in my cart and yesterday (Tuesday), I ordered the stuff. They should be here today (Wednesday), so I'll be posting about them again later today with a couple pictures.
My Purchases: Hopefully, the look as good in real life as they do in the picture.
Also, my contact should be here in like about a week or earlier. So I'm also suuper excited for that. In case you didn't see what contacts I'm getting, head on over to this post.
So I think this is my favourite part of today's blog. So for those who don't know, I've been around blogging for about a good 3 years, but this blog is still under a year and I've only got like 4 followers on it. No joke. So imagine my surprise when Sinead tells me that she nominated for both her New Blog Award and her Liebster Award. Give me a minute to spaz. *insert a long spew of keyboard and verbal smashing as well as squeeing* This may not seem like much to others, but I do love when people tell me that they genuinely enjoy my blog as don't necessarily expect to have people enjoy it as much as I do, yanno? Especially when bloggers that I love, like Sinead, give me recognition. So yes, I feel amazingly flattered and even more humbled than normal by this. Anyway, it's my turn to hop on this bandwagon and geet to it, yes?
The New Blog Love Award is given to acknowledge, love, encourage and spread word of our follow bloggers! And that's what makes this even more lovely to me. By accepting this nomination, I not only thank Sinead for the nomination and love, but I also nominate the following bloggers and their blogs:
• otto | ottobomb
• Sam Murakami | ColorCrush
• Seryna Veng | Unicorn Ate My Homework
• Alicia | Neon Fox
• Unfortunately, I don't have anyone else to fill this spot. Everyone else that I feel is worthy of the nomination are over the 200 follower's limit.
The Liebster Blog Award is given to who have less than 200 followers and are considered the up and coming in the blogging world. Now if I'm not mistaken, my German is a tad bit rusty, Liebster is a word that mans amazing or best. Which again...flattering.

— Eleven Facts: » Let's start out with something deep and might or might not change the opinion one may have on me. I am a victim. Bullying, abuse, and other things.
» Let's follow that first one up with this. I hate pity and sympathy. I don't want it nor ask for it. Treat me as you would normally treat me.
» I have far too many interests. All forms of art intrigue me, languages and foreign cultures are nice, books and movies are also nice.
» Despite popular belief, I can be a bit "feminine". I can sew, knit, and crochet a bit. I also cook and bake. And I also have a really soft spot for cute ass animals (bunnies and kitties and puppies).
» I'm majoring in Web Design & Development, although this wasn't my first choice as a major. I initially wanted to go into cooking as a major.
» I would really fancy living in England as much as I would fancy living in Switzerland, France, or Norway...especially Norway.
» I love the Old Nordic and Olde English languages. They are rather beautiful to me.
» Ancient Greece, Ancient Roman, Norse Mythology, and Greek Mythology are some of my favourite things to study.
» I like observing people and taking note of their very human characteristics.
» The human mind is disconcertingly enthralling, especially when you delve into mental disorders.
» I self harm. And no, not because of any insecurity reasoning or because it's how I cope with depression. I genuinely enjoy the pain that comes with it. However, I can genuinely say that it's not an addiction of the manic depressive kind like it was when I was younger.
— Eleven Answers: What do you see for the future of your blog?
— Honestly, at this point, I see the future of my blog as nothing. I don't mean that it will cease to exist or I won't be blogging. I mean that I genuinely have to expectations for the future of this blog. When I started this blog, I had no expectations and I till don't. This blog will always be a clusterfuck of ideas and posts and categories because that's what my mind is like both when it comes to blogging and when it comes to everyday life. Despite whether or not this blog takes off and reaches a full level of popularity and even exceeds it, I will make sure that this blog will remain as is. Full of profanity, sarcasm, realistic futurism, books, movies, music, beauty, lenses, a clusterfuck of things...and most importantly, just a blog written by a person who has gender identity crises, a sharp tongue, too many interests, too much time, and a never silent mind.
If you could live anywhere in the world (or universe) where would it be?
— I would love to live on the Moon if I could. Like by myelf or with a self few people. In the world, I'd love to live in England, France, Switzerland, or Norway.
Who were your greatest influences in life (fictional or reality, past and present)?
— I have a couple of those. In my personal life, it'd have to be a good it of the women in my family. They're all badass and confident and intelligent. It's lovely. As for celebrity-wise, off the top of my head, I think of Tom Hiddleston, Robert Downey Jr., and Mark Ruffalo. I think that they all have this charm to them that simply draws people to them. Charm, intelligence, and that sense of humor that's really odd, but you find yourself loving. If I could combine the personalities of the women in my family with the celebrities I listed, I think as a person, I'd be fantastic.
If someone made a movie of your life, what song would be the theme song featured in all the trailers/commercials?
— Oh god! I don't think I could stick to one song. 아이고. Maybe, "Alibi" by 30 Seconds To Mars or "Mr. 現代Speaker" by ONE OK ROCK. Preferably an alternation between the 2 songs.
— I'd probably Anonymously donate a bit of it to some charity I support, give a bit to my mum, and buy somethings with the rest.
What are your favorite type/subject of blog posts to read?
— Honestly, I love any type of blog or any subject a blogger blogs about as long as it's intriguing and I can connect to it on some level or have the urge to interact with them because of the post.
What's your spirit animal (or favorite animal)?
— According to my friends and this quiz, my spirit animal is an owl. So I guess, I'm an owl. My favourite animal doesn't exist. I love too many animals. Ocelots are cute. So are bunnies, kittens, puppies, baby hedgehogs, ligers, etcetera.
What's your favorite item of clothing you own and why?
— My cardigan. Cardigans are perfect. Nuff said.
What's the one thing you want to accomplish most in 2013?
— Continue existing and surrounding myself with the good and no longer looking back on the past and the bad.
If you could take any item, thing, animal or person from fiction and make it real, what or who would it be?
— Holy shit. That is...okay. I would either make the Iron Man suit a legit thing for my usage only or Loki's scepter a legit thing for my usage only. Obviously I wanna take over the Earth. For animals, too many of 'em that I wish were real.
— Eleven People:
• otto | ottobomb
• Sam Murakami | ColorCrush
• Seryna Veng | Unicorn Ate My Homework
• Alicia | Neon Fox
• Again, I, unfortunately, do not have anyone else to fill these spots. Everyone else that I feel is worthy of the nomination are over the 200 follower's limit.
— Eleven Questions: 1. How much would could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
2. What are 5 of your favourite songs of all time?
3. Is there an art piece in the world that yu are completely enamoured with? If yes, what is it?
4. What is the last book you read?
5. If you could travel to 3 places in the world right now, which places would you visit?
6. What does your dream home consist of? (Style-wise, colour scheme, type of furniture?)
7. Do you collect anything? If so, what?
8. Favourite beauty product that you've used in the last 3 years.
9. What is one thing that you truly are unhappy with physically?
10. What's something you've done you regret doing or do you prefer living life with no regrets?
11. Do you consider yourself a health freak or something similar to it?
Dear goodness. This post was intense. Including all the formatting for the post, this post was 9 pages in my Word. I leave for a couple days and come back with a wall of crazy text. I hope you'll enjoyed this post and I'll see you later today.

Hello, there!
Welcome to Waiting for June. Waiting for June is a Lifestyle Blog that focuses predominantly on daily life shenanigans and nerd culture, but occasionally dabbles in health & beauty, food, and prattling about serious topics.
Waiting for June is the sixth iteration of the same blog with a different name and structure. The original iteration of this blog was started back in November of 2012 as a purely Beauty and Lifestyle blog under the name Monochromatics which later got abandoned and restarted under the name sumeoseo. With sumeoseo came more beauty and review based blog which quickly lost its appeal. From that point on, there were three name changes, multiple hiatuses, and two blog changes before coming to where we are now.
Throughout this journey, I've learned that this blog shouldn't be limited to what I feel fits in with what I read from other bloggers nor should I put myself in a position to compromise my integrity and the feeling of transparency that I feel should always be there. I've also learned that blogging is probably never going to be a huge source of income the way I always expected it to be. So when I finally returned back to blogging with a fresh blog and an equally fresh name, I decided to make this blog about anything that I wanted to and break the mold of trying to fit into the mold. I can only imagine where this experience is going to take me.

Hello, there!
Welcome to the little about me section of the blog. If it isn't obvious by now, I'm Mochizuki and I'm kind of pretty important here. Admittedly, Mochizuki is a nom de plume, but I digress. I'm currently somewhere in my twenty-somethings and doing that thing where I'm learning how to be a proper adult while balancing being a student and a worker. Speaking of school, I'm a Graphic Design major who's concentration is Web Design and I take my classes online. If I'm being honest here, I do everything online because of my apprehension towards too much social interaction.
I'm typically reading something, playing a video game, watching anime, or something otherwise nerdy because that's how I roll. I don't engage with people unless I'm positive there is something in common there simply because I don't want to make it weird for anyone involved. That said, the reason I originally created this blog, or rather, any of my blogging adventures, was so that I could engage with people wo share the same interests as me while simultaneously sharing my own things with people.
I'm not terribly good at about me's, so expect this to be updated sporadically in a lot of ways.
The little spots on the internet that I read to pass time.

A clear and concise guide on how reviews are approached and written.
This blog touches on and is dedicated to a variety of topics including: daily life, cosmetics, my journey to being a healthier me, music, books, anime, et cetera; however, a large chunk of the content found here are some form of review be they miniature reviews or full blown, in-depth reviews. Because of this, this blog has decided to implement and share it's review policy.
Please note that this policy is liable to change at any point in time, so do constantly check back before sending inquiries to kurahge@outlook.com.
Depending on the workload and the type of product is received, at any given time, multiple products can be in queue to be reviewed.
Depending on the product, the amount of time for a review to be posted varies. Typically, the length of time is as follows: anything health or beauty releated will take between 5 days and 1 week, books take between 3 days and 5 days, music and movie reviews take between 1 to 2 days, and most other reviews are variant depending on the situation at hand.
Products are predominantly purchased with my own money. On the off chance that the product or prodcuts were provided to me, there is always a note at the top of post and as well as text within the post that acknowledges such. Despite being provided a product or not, the opinions are honest and valid.
As of April 14th, 2016, there has been a change in how reviews are formatted. If working with a product that has a list of ingredients (health, beauty, cosmetics, etcetera), there will be a graphic that lists the ingredients out of respect and transparency for the readers.
Photos for reviews, particularly health and beauty related, are unedited and provided in a clear manner to help show what results occurred (if any.)
If at any point, a review is rushed despite being informed of and knowing the review policy of this blog, I will drop the review and pay for the product accordingly. I am a college student and a full-time worker, blogging is a bit of side project no matter how much I wish it otherwise, so my time is a bit crammed. Basically, rushing will terminate any agreement we may have unless it's valid (meaning absolutely my fault.)
