Lifestyle and Daily Shenanigans with a dash of Nerd Appreciation thrown in.

Hello, there! I'm Mochizuki, a twenty-something year old Graphic & Web Design student located somewhere in America and welcome to Waiting for June a Lifestyle blog that occasionally gets a tad too personal, talks about cosmetics, and constantly the home for prattles about Bandcamp, nerd culture, and tea/coffee. Hello, there: I actually really liked this picture. I like the way the contacts look on me, I love the wig and I love how it's doing that cute subtle curl thing.
Yo! It's only 8 days left until my birthday, guys!! Honestly, I'm terribly excited for this birthday. I think because this is the most content I've been with myself and my life in such a long time. I've been more social and flirtatious, not to mention I've been more and more honest with myself and just...ugh, such a good feeling. On a side note, the title of today's post is the title of song by the band Turn Off Your Television which you can jam to by clicking here.
Anyway, if you can't tell by the title, today's post is a hauls posts! Yaaay. I'm going to warn you all now that this is a bit more picture heavy than normal and with the combination of it being text heavy also, if your computer runs slow...don't bother. There's a lot of e.l.f cosmetics involved, some food, my face, and other random goodies.
So if you don't remember, last Thursday, I made a post entitled Humble Waves and in it, I mentioned about e.l.f cosmetics having a 50% OFF Best Sellers sale and how I ordered a good bit of products from them (here's the post if you wanna read it!) and I'm happy to say that they came on Wednesday morning and I was super excited. I'm not going to bother listing out all the products i got since I wrote their names on the images, but ugh, I'm so happy that they got here as soon as they did and honestly, I totally wasn't expecting that whatsoever. So I'm super, super happy.
I've tested out a couple of the products here, so I'll get around to reviewing them at some point soon. As well as a review on e.l.f cosmetics on a whole. Expect to see a review on the Daily Moisture Stick, Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick, Mineral Infused Face Primer, Makeup Mist & Set, and the Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths in the near future as well as a review on the Mineral Face Cleanser in the future as well as I want to use it consistently for at least a week before give my review on the product.
Also, you can still take advantage of e.l.f's 50% OFF Best Seller sale by clicking the banner below! And remember that you need to spend at least 20$ to get the 50% OFF. This sale ends on the 17th of June. ♥
Of course I had to include pictures of myself, food, and/or some random shit. The first picture were taken on Thursday when I went out with otto and NIL to see a mutual mate of ours. That day didn't end really well, but for what it was...the day was lovely. Any day I get to spend with otto is perfect to me. She's one of my only friends that I can completely see not ever fighting. We kind of have what I consider a perfect friendship. Anyway, the pictures were taken at both our friend's house and at the mall. In the last image in the first picture, I don't think you can properly see it unless you enlarge it, but otto's finger photobombed me. Fucking rude. Side note, I totally suck at winking, if you can't already tell.
The second picture was supposed to have otto in it, but my phone camera cut her out save for the lower half of her face. Haha. The third picture, we actually got it...it was perfect. We look like some sexy bitches. The fourth picture was actually taken on Friday when I was out in the front of my home at night time. We saw a lighting bug (or a firefly depending on where you're from) and since I fucking love lighting bugs, I asked my friend/little brother to catch it in a bottle so that I could take a picture of it and I am so happy I got it. It's such a little beaut.
The last two pictures are from the same day as the first 3 pictures, Thursday, after walking around and losing ourselves in the mall trying to find the food court (we misread the sign because neither of us had prescription glasses on...so you can only imagine the blindness), we finally made our way upstairs and got to the food court. I got this delicious Nutella milkshake that I fucking adore from Planet Smoothie and then otto and I went to get Checkers. Afterwards, we sat outside and chatted for a bit. It was so great. I love that we can sit anywhere and talk about anything and everything and never get bored.
Afterwards, we headed back to our mates' home and managed to get caught in a storm on the way to the house. After the storm settled a bit, we headed home
...and then the day turned to shit...but that's not important.
Alongside the 50% OFF Best Sellers sale e.l.f cosmetics had, they had a Happy Hour sale. In this particular Happy Hour sale, they were selling their Studio Collection for 18$. The original value for the collection is actually 40$. Upon finding out about this sale, I nearly had a moment of freaking out and think I nearly had an existential crisis over this (and I wish I was kidding) because I wasn't sure if I was willing to go about spending more money. Obviously, I gave in in the end and went ahead and bought it.
Now, these pictures are not all the products that came with the collection. The reason I didn't put pictures for all the products that came in the collection was because the other products were repeats of what I got when I purchased items from the 50% OFF Best Seller. These products are the: Cream Eyeliner, Makeup Mist & Set, and Mineral Infused Primer. Those can be seen in the first batch of pictures from the e.l.f haul, so I'm not repeating them.
For 18$, this came with a lot and I'm terribly happy with the purchase as I didn't expect to get this much in the package. It was a terribly pleasant surprise.

This 8 track mixtape is a mix of different songs that all give the vibes of dreams/daydreams whether it be lyrically or melodically or even both. It's the mixtape that, I hope, you listen to and close your eyes and drift into a happier and/or clearer place in your mind because everyone needs a mental solace. You can find most of these songs on Bandcamp, save for the last one.
The photography used in the cover art is credited to the amazing landscape photographer, Michael Kenna. Artists on this mix include Artifiseer, Elenne May, Turn Off Your Television, Mike Ziethlow, The Will Hunter Band, and Kendrick Lamar. Most songs can be found in Bandcamp's indie tag save for the last song which can be found on Kendrick Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d city.
And we've reached the end! Woo! That was a doozy, wasn't it? Lots of pictures and good amount of text. I'm hoping you guys prefer and enjoy the posts with more pictures than text since lately it seems there are nothing but mostly text heavy posts. I think this is my first full haul post here on the blog. It's either the first overall or the first in an extremely long time.
Also, if you haven't noticed, the pictures have a completely new watermark. Do you remember me mentioning that I was working on a new layout and the blog was changing titles? If you haven't, you can click here and read it. I was trying to keep mum about it for a bit longer, but I couldn't help it. The new name for the blog will be Humbled Waves and it's based off the album and song by the band Turn Off Your Television. The layout should be up soon. So that's a thing I'm really excited about. Also, I'm working on my portfolio and I'll probably do a bunch of tutorials and release a bunch of layouts for both Blogger and Tumblr. So things'll be a bit busy for a bit.
It's time for a couple questions. leave your responses to these questions in a comment below! ♥
What have you bought anything recently? Anything you think I should try? Do you see anything in this post that makes you wanna by something from e.l.f?
Until next time, lovies. And remember, you're all lovely and I love you like I love seaweed wraps. ♥

Hello, there!
Welcome to Waiting for June. Waiting for June is a Lifestyle Blog that focuses predominantly on daily life shenanigans and nerd culture, but occasionally dabbles in health & beauty, food, and prattling about serious topics.
Waiting for June is the sixth iteration of the same blog with a different name and structure. The original iteration of this blog was started back in November of 2012 as a purely Beauty and Lifestyle blog under the name Monochromatics which later got abandoned and restarted under the name sumeoseo. With sumeoseo came more beauty and review based blog which quickly lost its appeal. From that point on, there were three name changes, multiple hiatuses, and two blog changes before coming to where we are now.
Throughout this journey, I've learned that this blog shouldn't be limited to what I feel fits in with what I read from other bloggers nor should I put myself in a position to compromise my integrity and the feeling of transparency that I feel should always be there. I've also learned that blogging is probably never going to be a huge source of income the way I always expected it to be. So when I finally returned back to blogging with a fresh blog and an equally fresh name, I decided to make this blog about anything that I wanted to and break the mold of trying to fit into the mold. I can only imagine where this experience is going to take me.

Hello, there!
Welcome to the little about me section of the blog. If it isn't obvious by now, I'm Mochizuki and I'm kind of pretty important here. Admittedly, Mochizuki is a nom de plume, but I digress. I'm currently somewhere in my twenty-somethings and doing that thing where I'm learning how to be a proper adult while balancing being a student and a worker. Speaking of school, I'm a Graphic Design major who's concentration is Web Design and I take my classes online. If I'm being honest here, I do everything online because of my apprehension towards too much social interaction.
I'm typically reading something, playing a video game, watching anime, or something otherwise nerdy because that's how I roll. I don't engage with people unless I'm positive there is something in common there simply because I don't want to make it weird for anyone involved. That said, the reason I originally created this blog, or rather, any of my blogging adventures, was so that I could engage with people wo share the same interests as me while simultaneously sharing my own things with people.
I'm not terribly good at about me's, so expect this to be updated sporadically in a lot of ways.

A clear and concise guide on how reviews are approached and written.
This blog touches on and is dedicated to a variety of topics including: daily life, cosmetics, my journey to being a healthier me, music, books, anime, et cetera; however, a large chunk of the content found here are some form of review be they miniature reviews or full blown, in-depth reviews. Because of this, this blog has decided to implement and share it's review policy.
Please note that this policy is liable to change at any point in time, so do constantly check back before sending inquiries to kurahge@outlook.com.
Depending on the workload and the type of product is received, at any given time, multiple products can be in queue to be reviewed.
Depending on the product, the amount of time for a review to be posted varies. Typically, the length of time is as follows: anything health or beauty releated will take between 5 days and 1 week, books take between 3 days and 5 days, music and movie reviews take between 1 to 2 days, and most other reviews are variant depending on the situation at hand.
Products are predominantly purchased with my own money. On the off chance that the product or prodcuts were provided to me, there is always a note at the top of post and as well as text within the post that acknowledges such. Despite being provided a product or not, the opinions are honest and valid.
As of April 14th, 2016, there has been a change in how reviews are formatted. If working with a product that has a list of ingredients (health, beauty, cosmetics, etcetera), there will be a graphic that lists the ingredients out of respect and transparency for the readers.
Photos for reviews, particularly health and beauty related, are unedited and provided in a clear manner to help show what results occurred (if any.)
If at any point, a review is rushed despite being informed of and knowing the review policy of this blog, I will drop the review and pay for the product accordingly. I am a college student and a full-time worker, blogging is a bit of side project no matter how much I wish it otherwise, so my time is a bit crammed. Basically, rushing will terminate any agreement we may have unless it's valid (meaning absolutely my fault.)
