Waiting for June
Lifestyle and Daily Shenanigans with a dash of Nerd Appreciation thrown in.

A back-to-back posting spree? I know. Shocking. What it really is was that I had posts planned out in my head while I was coding the blog’s new layout and so it was a lot easier to just jump right into them and get them done as soon as the layout was done and I was back in the swing of things.

This time around, I decided to do something I haven’t done in a while, Blog Tags. Basically, there are times when I need filler posts on my blog that aren’t wishlist post or posts that I’ll look back on and regret. That’s where the blog tags come in. I find that they’re a bit quirky and fun and I do fancy doing the ones I stumble upon. Since it’s been a while since I’ve done when I was reading through the blogs I follow and saw these two, I was immediately enthralled.

Today’s tags are obviously The Beauty Tag found on Life of Verity and The Blogger Made Me Buy It Tag found on Twenty Something Beauty (which I totally titled wrong in the title image, but shhhh). I hope they’re fun little reads and you find out more about how I buy the things I buy and why I buy them. I tag everyone. So if you do it or have done it, drop your links in the comments.

And don’t forget to read to the end and check a small little advertisement that will definitely intrigue you health nuts and box lovers.

Yoooo! I initially wanted this post to be done and up a day or two after the first post of the yearlies but I started on a new layout and I wanted to really get that done before I either lost the motivation to do it (and would stew in unhappiness with the old layout) or I would just lose focus of what and where I was going with the layout (which I ended up doing anyway, so consider it another temporary layout). So there’s that. There’s nothing I can do about that aside from apologise for not pushing myself a bit harder, but I did want to focus on one thing at a time so that I wouldn’t mess up anything.

That being said, welcome to the second post in EXTREMIS’s 2013 Yearlies. If you didn’t read the first post and are somewhat confused, never fear. I am here to explain (not that I should, but hey.) Basically, the yearlies, obviously by the name, are a series of posts that run typically from the first week to the second week of January. In some instances, it runs a week or so longer. It’s basically a round up of all the things that I found absolutely lovely released in the previous year. They tend to be things that I feel should have a bit more attention and love than they do. In some instances, they have quite a lot of love and are extremely well known and in others, they’re not. The lists range from music to cosmetics to games to books to movies. This year, I’ll be focusing primarily on movies, games, and music as much of my year was focused around those main things. You can read the first yearlies post here.

In follow up of the previous post in this series, I’m going to this time showcase some of my favourite Korean releases of the year 2013. As there are more listed here than previously, I’m actually not going to spend too much time talking about each since doing that for four was a bit draggy, so doing it for eight would probably be dreadful. Ad I would like to point out that not all of these albums are under the Pop genre; most are, but not all.
Note: This post contains my personal opinions and no one else’s. I was in no way, shape, or form coerced nor offered any form of payment (be it monetary or whatever). This post is also not intended to change anyone's opinion nor poke fun at anyone’s opinion but rather to spark interest and possibly conversation.

Happy New Year and all that fuckery. Unlike other bloggers, I don’t spend the month of December posting a year in review and all jazz for two main reasons. The first being, December is still apart of the year we’re reviewing and it’s completely ridiculous, in my mind, to review a year that isn't complete yet. The second being, for some reasons, a lot of brands/companies and artists have a tendency to release things or offer up limited editions of their products (whatever it may be). It’s because of those two reasons that I don’t do my Year In Review posts until December comes to a complete close and January has begun. That being said, roughly the first two weeks of January will be dedicated to reviewing the year 2013.

To kick it off, I’ve decided to start off with something that I hold near and dear to my heart, music. If you couldn’t already tell, in this post, I’ll be talking about the albums of 2013 that I think that people slept on and they probably shouldn't have. For this particular post, I’ll be focusing primarily on the American/English mainstream releases.

You can also choose to read the entire post or skip past the honourable mentions and early prattle to get to the chosen albums by clicking here.

This post's title image are screencaps from each video that I simply adored.

Hello, hello. Holy shit, what's this? I'm baaaack. Well, sorta....mostly. I'm a still a busy outside of this hectic world of blogging, but I'm not so out of control with it that I can jump back into blogging, but that's for a totally different post (meaning the next one) and technically, this isn't as much of a return as much as it a reason for me to go ahead and be a slightly judgmental twat with a bit too much time on their hands.

Basically, I'm reviewing things again. And I'm reviewing things that I haven't done in forever and really and truly want to bring focus on to this blog. Music. Now, if you obviously can't tell, music is a huge part of my life. Whether it be anything from Rihanna, to the beautiful voice of the Korean singer Ailee, to jamming to some Japanese Rock, to listening to something more soothing like the Shoegaze band, Zeit; I'm immersed in it. I've said this multiple times before on this blog, but I really, really want for this blog to have more focus on music.

That being said, today's post is a review of two music videos that feature two of my personal favourite artists (for different reasons), Jessie J and Rihanna. Over the course of the week or so, both artists have released music videos for two singles; Rihanna's being “What Now” from her UNAPOLOGETIC album and Jessie J's being “Thunder” from her ALIVE album. Both songs are not only on the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of overall meaning, but both artists are also on the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of their artistry.

Well, does that make a difference? Keep reading to find out my take on it.

Originally, I had plans to post a different music post, but I realised almost immediately that it would have taken a rather long time to get it done considering my schedule (of packing, studying, more packing, et cetera) and thus I decided to take a different route. Earlier today, someone retweeted a tweet that I originally made late last month asking for people who were Bandcamp and/or SoundCloud artists to send me their stuff to check out because I need new music. Towards the original post, I actually hadn't gotten any responses and I think it was mostly because of the timing of the tweet.

Nonetheless, I a couple hours later, I was mentioned by a band named Zeit and asked to check out their newest EP. So I decided to do it in my own way and introduce them to you as I am getting introduced to them at the same time...therefore, it's an experience for all.

So 가자!

There's no real lead into this post. Nothing intricate. I just needed a day where I wasn't posting about something extremely intense and time consuming and requiring some editing and colouring of pictures. So this is a late currents post since I'm behind on my Sunday one. Hopefully, I'll get out an Embarrassments + Currents post out this Wednesday so I'm back on a schedule.

Anyway, 가자!

So, today's a good day, I suppose. Well, okay. It's a good day for the blog and me as a blogger because I've been nominated for the The Liebster Award for the second time within a span of 7 months and that's amazing cause I sometimes think my blog's quality is shit. Nonetheless, I'm terribly, terribly thankful for it as I normally am when people compliment the blog or do things like nominate me for blogs. That being said, I'm only doing half of the requirements because of the fact that I was nominated previously. Technically, once you're nominated, you shouldn't do this again for a year or so, I think. Nonetheless, I enjoy doing this, so I'm doing it. As for the part I'm not doing, you'll see.

Also, I want to thank, Evelin Kivi for nominating me for the award. You're absolutely darling for doing so and I'm glad you find both my blog and I worthy enough for the nomination. And I want to thank the beautiful and positively nicely, Sinead for being the first person to give me Liebster award back in February. To read Evelin's Liebster post, click here.

Before we jump into this post, here's a couple songs for you to jam to while reading through this post. “Stardust” by MIKA, “Step With Me” by MIKA, “Lego House” (Live Billboard Awards @ 2013) by Ed Sheeran, “Autumn Leaves” by Ed Sheeran and “U.N.I” by Ed Sheeran. You're welcome.

Now, 가자!

Listen y'all, before you read this post, just go on ahead and click the song at the beginning of this post and jam to it. Of course they'll be a couple more links to songs throughout the post, but just listen to "Kick Ass (We Are Young)" first cause MIKA is godly and we are not worthy of that perfect ass vocal range. Yaaas. (If you can't view that link, click here.)

Anyway, I suppose I owe you lot an explanation as to why I've not been consistent with my postings yet again. Well, I won't go too in depth, but combine the fact that I'm looking for an apartment, packing, and cleaning with the fact that I'm updating the blog again by creating a new layout and you have a big ball of exhausted Yasu. Let's not even bother factoring in what a social life is cause I don't know at all. Seriously.

Nonetheless, today's post is a huge as mess of various things. The first part will be on the topic of Books and it stems from a Books Q&A I saw over at Water Painted Dreams. The second part an autumn blog tag that's now floating around. The third part is a different take on the currents that I normally do and inspiration is taken from Elise of Elise Dopson's third edition of Sunday Sum-Up. And as usual, the end all be all of this post will be my ranting and opinions and frustrations. I would say that profanity was going to be a thing, but I'm trying to cut down on it. So maybe not.

Man, these introductions to posts are getting longer. Can you imagine the massive text wall that's hiding beneath the read more?

[If you want to skip this post and read something that is more engaging, you should check out my last post: BA★STAR Stardust Loose Mineral Shadow Review.]

Yo! Yes, I'm getting back into the habit of blogging every day or at least at a consistent pace again. Summer's been super harsh for me in the best ways. Hanging out with my mates, reconnecting with some mates from high school, and meeting up with new mates as well as going out with my mum and roomie and just being everywhere and nowhere. This summer's been absolutely and positively lovely and I'm terribly saddened to see it draw to an end. Seeing as I'm in Georgia, summer's already over for the lot of us, but there's always Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break to come and pass before next summer. And I must admit, I'm looking forward to it.

Anyway, today's post is inspired by two things, the first being Ashley of Modernetta's latest post "Things I'm Embarrassed To Admit, Vol. 1" which I found to be quite an amusing and refreshing idea. Not many bloggers are truly, truly open to sharing the things that embarrass them and it's nice to see someone step out of that comfort zone and delve into this type of ideal. So I think I'll join her in this and put a couple things that embarrass me to admit every Wednesday or Thrusday.

The other part of this post is inspired by a lot of bloggers I follow including VampieVarnish, Ghost Parties, The Nearsighted Owl and others. They like to do posts where share their current loves whether it be things they found online, things in their closets, or things in their beauty collections. I love the idea, so I'm totally going to implement it here on the blog. It'll be done in the same post as my "Things I'm Embarrassed Admit To Admit" posts.

Also, I should make it clear that each post will only have about 5-10 things that I'd be embarrassed to admit. So enough jibber-jabber. Let's get into this, yeah?

It's been a bit over two weeks since my last official post and I have to admit that it feels much, much longer. I had plans to have the blog pick back up again late last month and earlier this month, however, I've been so social, exhausted, and just overly busy with life lately that I couldn't even arsed to blog sometimes. But after a time, I start to realise how much I miss and love blogging which leads me to days like today, where I'm so bloody exhausted (having slept only 3 hours after not sleeping at all on Monday and going out on Tuesday) and yet, I felt the strongest urge to blog my life away today.

I did finish the July Journaling Challenge, however, I had typed it out and saved it, but didn't schedule it correctly, so it didn't post and as I've been out consistently with no time to do anything aside from crawl into bed, I hadn't noticed. So that was a mess. Now I have to edit it before I post it. I'm sorry for the wait.

Hello fellow earthlings. What's this? More apologies? Of course. Seriously though, I wish I could not be busy, but I've been running myself ragged again. Working out, job interviews, etcetera. Also, I'm coding a new layout. So, I've been running myself ragged lately with no time for blogging or even, sleep. In fact, in the last two days I've only gotten about 6 hours of sleep total (3 yesterday and 3 today). I don't think I'll be any less busy for the next couple weeks or so, even after the new layout goes up, because I have a bunch of other layouts and things to do. If I drift from this blog, it's not anything done purposely, cause I love this blog. So. That's a thing.

Today's post is all about cataching up on the July Journaling Challenge. I've missed about 12 days, not including today's, so this is going to be a massive text post with little bits and pieces of pictures here and there. If you wish to skip this post because it's text heavy, then feel free to do so.

Also, if you'd like to catch up on all the posts I've done for this challenge, feel free to do so.

On a side note, the title of this post was created by combining two songs by the amazing Two Door Cinema Club, "Next Year" and "Beacon", which I totally recommend you jamming out to.

Hello fellow earthlings. I apologize for the lack of posting, but I've been busy typing up reviews and setting up scheduled posts for the blog so no one ever get tired of the blog and annoyed with always having to wait around. Also, I like to do these July Journaling posts when there are a couple days to do as some of the prompts have rather short answers. Again, if you'd like to catch up on all the posts I've done for this challenge, feel free to do so.

Anyway, the title of this post comes from two part song by Turn Off Your Television with the same name, which I totally recommend you listen to. Shockingly enough, I don't have much of a lead into this post so, this isn't as long as it normally is. Enjoy the post or feel free to skip it and wait it out.

Before you proceed reading, please note that this is a scheduled post. Although this post is scheduled, this is not to say that this post is free of any mistakes be it grammatical, punctuational, or spelling and it is currently set to be posted on July 10, 2013 at 11:45PM.
Hey everyone! Another day, another blog post. I skipped yesterday because honestly, I was too tired to do anything. I was up for 20 hours before I fell asleep and I only managed two hours before I was up again. Then I just got really sluggish and bleh and I just lacked a whole lot of motivation. So, my apologies for that.

Today's post is a two-in-one post. The first half of this post is going to be a review that I've been swearing and meaning to do for months on end and that is a review of Fall Out Boy's latest album, Save Rock and Roll, which happens to be one of my most played albums in iTunes. In actuality, it not a complete review as much as it's an overview for a complete review to come. As for the second half, I'll be continuing what I started in my previous post and doing both days nine and ten from the July Journaling Challenge. To track my progress of this challenge as the month of July comes and goes, feel free to use this tag.

Herro~ man, I can't even believe it is not only July, but eight days into July. I swear, it was my birthday and I was in bed, turning 20, and then I blinked and all of a sudden, it's July 8th. Like holy crap, this year is moving waaaay faster than I thought and soon, it'll be time for me to jump back into the hecticness that is life and school. Can you tell how bloody excited I'm not? ...cause I'm not. Well, that's a lie. I'm split, but whatever, we'll cross that bridge and discover ourselves when the time comes, right?

Before we properly jump into this post, I want to apologize. My lack of posting is due to extreme exhausting and being constantly dragged out with my mates. Also, I've been working out lately, so I've been coming home and passing out almost immediately. That's been a thing. Nonetheless, I've been neglecting the blog and a lot of my overall personal duties as of late and for that I apologize.

Also, I know that this post was supposed to be an introspective-ish post, but I've decided to hop on a bandwagon and instead do another daily post challenge. They are far too addicting to me and I do rather fancy doing these things to let you guys into glimpses of who I am, what I like/dislike, and how my inner workings are constructed. This time around, I'm doing the July Journaling Challenge which was created by Emily Jane and she is absolutely bloody adorable (and it's reflected on her blog), I recommend you take a gander over her blog. In actuality, I'm about 7 days late, so I'm playing catch up by doing all 7 previous days' prompts and today's prompts.

While some responses to the prompts might be longer and others may be shorter, this post'll be a text doozy with the occasional photo. Sorry, but not really sorry. If there's too much text here, you can skip this post and read my previous post or something else you fancy. Now, let's get into this, yes?

Hello, there: I actually really liked this picture. I like the way the contacts look on me, I love the wig and I love how it's doing that cute subtle curl thing.

Yo! It's only 8 days left until my birthday, guys!! Honestly, I'm terribly excited for this birthday. I think because this is the most content I've been with myself and my life in such a long time. I've been more social and flirtatious, not to mention I've been more and more honest with myself and just...ugh, such a good feeling. On a side note, the title of today's post is the title of song by the band Turn Off Your Television which you can jam to by clicking here.

Anyway, if you can't tell by the title, today's post is a hauls posts! Yaaay. I'm going to warn you all now that this is a bit more picture heavy than normal and with the combination of it being text heavy also, if your computer runs slow...don't bother. There's a lot of e.l.f cosmetics involved, some food, my face, and other random goodies.

So let's jump right into this post, yeah?

YOUNGBLOODS: I must say that I feel like I belong every time I put on this jacket. I feel like I'm a part of a group of people that mean something and a part of something that means a lot and almost everything. And so I'm happy. So here's to us, THE YOUNGBLOODS: the loners, the artists, the poets, the unheards, the one who are wild like the youngest of volcanoes

Yo, everyone!!! Before we start, make sure you have the song linked above playing as you read this post. Humor me. Plus, it adds to the whole vibe of the post. Today's post should have a much happier vibe that my previous post cause yesterday was such a banging day. If you don't know, I post my blog's late at night/early in the morning of the next day and so everything I talk about is mostly a day backwards unless said otherwise. Meaning, my mood from yesterday, is feeding into thi post because I blog as night falls and becomes early morning. Make sense? I hope so.

Anyway, that's not important. You know what is? The fact that I'll be twenty in 11 fucking days. YAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSS BIIIIIIIIIITCH!!!!!!!!!

Also, today's part is my final part of MMMIP (or My Month of May In Photos). If I find more May pictures, I'll toss the into posts randomly. Anyway, let's get this show underway.

Yo, minna! Today's a new day and you know what that means? Another day closer to my 20th birthday. I believe this link will describe me accurately. Yes? Yes.

Since I'm less exhausted today than I was yesterday, for this post, I'll be doing two tags. One is a thirteen question tag that I found on Heather's Of Beauty & Nothingness blog and the other is a five things tag I found over at the lovely Alexis' Sun Candy blog. Both are more personal type tags, but not too personal and we all know how much I love these types of tags.

So, let's jump right in, yeah?

Yo, everyone! Today's the 6th and you know what that means? One day closer to me to being 20. Ayeeee! I'm pretty much gonna be like this for the next couple days. I hope y'all don't mind, alright? I'mma just hit my dougie every post from now until the 23rd. Speaking of posting everyday, have you lot noticed the title? I bet you're like, " Da fuck, Yasu?" Allow me to explain.

Well, let's start with this. For those who don't know, a blog hop is basically a massive posting of blog names/buttons and their URLs. The point of a blog hop is to encourage bloggers alike to look over others blogs in hopes of finding something they really enjoy. It's somewhat like a blogger's network but much lax and definitely more blogger-based in the ideals that most blog hops are hosted, co-hosted, and sponsored by bloggers themselves. Some blog hops have rules like following all the hosts, co-hosts, and sponsors, but some much like this particular blog hop on require you to only follow the host and comment saying you'll be doing the blog hop alongside leaving your link.

Now let's talk more about specifics. The title is #21daystilsummer which the title of a blog hop that I joined hosted by the lovely Oleah who's blog i found today, but I absolutely enjoy. Basically, she wanted to ty and set her blog hop apart from others by making it a blog that incorporates those blog every day for a certain number of day challenge. Frankly, I think it's a lovely idea and since I seem to miss the sign up date for others and she didn't have a sign up date set in stone, I was more than happy to jump on board. So from now until the 21st, I'll be blogging everyday with every post titled as #21daystilsummer. If you wanna join this blog hop, all the information can be found here.

And so let's just into today's post.

So I came back and edited this post. For some reason, the way it was originally was not sitting well with me, so I came back to alter and add on to it. Anyway, this year seems to be moving so fast, I swear it April and then I blinked and May was coming to an end, it's so weird knowing that in 24 days (June 23rd), I'll be turning 20. It seems that the older I get, the faster time seems to move and shockingly, I think I'm okay with that. I'm also terribly, terribly happy that May is coming to an end. It was a horrible month for me, both mentally and emotionally, but that will be touched on in next post. I assure you, it'll be a doozy.

But this post isn't about the trials and tribulations of my mental and emotional state. No, this post is all about me jumping on the bandwagon. Lately I've seen a few fellow bloggers that I follow post their month of May in pictures and I thought, "Hey!! That seems like fun." So I've decided to do this in two ways. This is the first way. I've taken all the pictures I've taken this month on Instagram and am posting them here. Later on, I'll do another post that'll be pictures from my iPhone and my camera that didn't exactly make it to Instagram or elsewhere. I think I'm gonna have some fun with this.
