A back-to-back posting spree? I know. Shocking. What it really is was that I had posts planned out in my head while I was coding the blog’s new layout and so it was a lot easier to just jump right into them and get them done as soon as the layout was done and I was back in the swing of things.
This time around, I decided to do something I haven’t done in a while, Blog Tags. Basically, there are times when I need filler posts on my blog that aren’t wishlist post or posts that I’ll look back on and regret. That’s where the blog tags come in. I find that they’re a bit quirky and fun and I do fancy doing the ones I stumble upon. Since it’s been a while since I’ve done when I was reading through the blogs I follow and saw these two, I was immediately enthralled.
Today’s tags are obviously The Beauty Tag found on Life of Verity and The Blogger Made Me Buy It Tag found on Twenty Something Beauty (which I totally titled wrong in the title image, but shhhh). I hope they’re fun little reads and you find out more about how I buy the things I buy and why I buy them. I tag everyone. So if you do it or have done it, drop your links in the comments.
And don’t forget to read to the end and check a small little advertisement that will definitely intrigue you health nuts and box lovers.

Do you remember your first makeup item?
— Not at all. I think my first makeup item was an eyeliner product, but I can’t remember the type or brand. That’s so unfortunate, though.
What kind of coverage do you prefer for your foundation?
— I prefer medium coverage that can be built upon.
Favourite high end brand?
— Hmm...I don’t think I have one? Maybe, MAC Cosmetics.
Favourite drugstore brand?
— Definitely a tie between Maybelline, NYC, and Wet ’n Wild.
What cosmetic brands have you wanted to try but still haven’t?
— I still want to try Chanel and Dior.
Do you wear fake eyelashes?
— Not at all. I need to find a way to make them work with my natural lashes.
Is there any kind of makeup that you can’t leave the house without?
— My eyeliners, lipsticks, lip balms/gloss, and eye drops/contact lens case.
What is your most cherished beauty product?
— My MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation.
How often do you shop for makeup? Do you pick up a lot of products at once?
— Not as often lately. I have a crap ton of makeup that I haven’t used yet, so I’ve been cutting down on the buying makeup. Normally, I try to buy products in bulk to make it easier on myself in time.
Do you have a ‘beauty budget’?
— For now I do. If I buy makeup, I will never go over 50$ overall. In some cases, 100$. But mostly 50$.
What type of product do you buy the most?
— Eyeliners, lipsticks, lip balms/glosses, and nail polishes.
Do you have a favourite place to shop for makeup?
— Walmart and Sephora.
If you could only buy one brand, which brand would you choose?
— Probably NYC or MAC Cosmetics.
What brand has the best packaging?
— Tokyo Milk.
Which celebrity always has great makeup?
— Jessie J and Kesha.
What do you apply first, concealer or foundation?
— I apply concealer first and then foundation.
Do you like multifunctional products like lip and cheek stains?
— No. I quite enjoy lip and cheek products being separate.
Do you apply your foundation with a brush, sponge, or fingers?
— I do a mix of applying foundation with brush and fingers.
What foundation do you use?
— I use MAC Cosmetics’ Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation.
Do you use a makeup base or primer for the eyes?
— dgsdgsdg

Who are your most influential bloggers? Who are the ones that you really rely on for reviews and swatches?
— Truth be told, only otto has much of an influence on what I really take the time to look at and maybe purchase because we’re both super close outide of the blogging world and we tend to like the same things, so I trust her in that aspect. When it comes to swatches, I prefer doing them myself and trusting myself. Particular skin calls for that kind of lifestyle.
Do you buy a product solely as a result from one review from your favourite bloggers, or do you look for more reviews from others?
— Honestly, I don’t follow bloggers reviews as much as the next person. I actually prefer going into different places and testing this out. This is because I have really, really unique skin and preferences and so I have very particular taste and ideas of what can and can’t work for me.
What is your most favourite item that you have ever bought as a consequence of blogs?
— I don’t have an item, but I have two stores. Born Pretty Store and BH Cosmetics. Both of which have been become two of my favourite online stores because of their prices and products.
What is your least favourite item that you have ever bought as a consequence of blogs?
— The one product I bought as a consequence of bloggers (listed in the next question) was decent and I still have it, aside from that, I have none.
Name 5 products you have bought recently as a result of blogs.
— There’s only one product I brought as a result of blogs and that was years ago. It was BH Cosmetics’ 10 Piece Brush Set (Red).
Have you ever given into blogger hype? If so, which hype?
— As mentioned in the previous question, I only rarely follow blogger hype because it is just not my thing, really. Blogger hype gets me interested, but it isn’t a driving force behind whether or not I purchase a product.
Have you ever avoided blogger hype? If so, which hype?
— More often than not I avoid blogger hypes. I don’t really follow hypes over all. I tend to find hyped up things rather boring and not as interesting to me. That sounds super stuck up and hipster of me, but I promise it’s out of purely comfort based reasons.
Is everything you buy based on blogger reviews or are there some items you buy without checking out a review?
— God no. A lot of things I buy are strictly based on my own personal tastes and what I would like to try out myself or have already tested and determined to like.

This was a nice little post that I thought I’d do since I haven’t done a tag in so long. It’s ridiculous. Also, it was really fun to see how little, I take into consideration the hype that bloggers constantly throw around. I never realised that I was so immune to it until I sat down and answered those questions. Have you done either of these tags? Leave your links in the comments below and I’ll check it out. If you haven’t, then consider yourself tagged. I tag everyone. Do the tags (one or both) and come back, leave the link to you post, and I’ll check it out. We can have a little chat about it.
Before I go, I just want to throw in a little bit of advertisings. If you didn’t read my last post, do so now by clicking here. I made another Blogger Classic template freebie and I opened commissions. All of that information can be found there.
And if you’re interested in a healthier food box filled with yummy goodies, I recommend you check out the Graze box. A box dedicated to providing you with delicious snacks with a healthy approach. Ranging from fruit, nuts, and seeds, to snacks with chocolate, and popping corn; Graze is just a lovely box and at 6$ a box? Definitely worth a look see. Plus, if you click this link, you get your first and fifth box free and I get to donate a 1$ to the Graze Farming School? Oh and did I mention that you can cancel at any time? Definitely check out.
Until next time, darlings! ❤
